Hi again, it's me, your favorite auntie that loves to read. Lately I have asked myself what I want out of an online presence, and I have decided I want it to be books... and to constantly show up for myself and others battling daily with their minds and bodies.

I always thought I needed to separate the two, but if you know me then you know I dont need to separate anything else in my brain.

I am happy you are here and hope you stay. There will be books, laughter, therapy, a LOT of OCD, and learning what rest is when society asks for constant productivity.

My physical wrap up for August!! It was a crazy month, so I am proud i made a dent in my TBR Cart!

Nightmares! By Jason Segel and Kirsten Miller was the stand out. Books about facing your fears and acknowledging trauma really resonate with me!

We have made it to the Ber months and I am READY for fall reads. 🍂

I don't have a wrap up for July because I was busy planning a wedding. I got to marry the love of my life and as I finished The Road Between by @courtneypeppernell , I knew this would be the perfect piece to share to celebrate my love. This book was like a hug during this time of my life, and I am so happy it came to me when it did!

My physical TBR continues to shrink!!! These were the physical books I read in May, and I LOVED most of them.

3/5 were 5⭐️ so I truly cannot complain.

A reader's hardest question to answer... whats your favorite book? For me, though?

Easy question.

The Hike by Drew Magary is my #1 favorite book of all time. Its weird and makes you say "the hell am I reading?" every two minutes, and it is WORTH the wild ride.

I still think about the ending and think... dang that got me.

So now... what's YOUR favorite book???

This was truly a CHALLENGE. This really made me think outside of my comfort zone and try a little of everything. I am not sure how I got stuck in a celebrity memoir loop, but I wasnt mad about it.

If I had to pick a fave from the whole adventure, it would definitely be A Far Wilder Magic. It was magical and romantic and a touch spooky, which is me in a nutshell.

The physical TBR progress I made in March! We have two 4⭐️, one 3⭐️, and we even have a 5⭐️!

A Magic Steeped in Poison was truly the winner this month. I loved it and cannot wait to finish the duology.

For someone who claims to hate romance novels... this being my favorite duology kind of makes me a liar.

I have been gathering anything related to this, and my little collection makes me SO happy.

It is absolutely a 5⭐️ series for me and fills my heart with SO much joy.

What a year! Paris: The Memoir truly surprised me, I had no idea it would become a fave. Book of Doors blew me away and A Semi-Definitive List of Nightmares was an INCREDIBLE read. I was amazed by Ninth House and am so glad I finally read it, I am looking forward to continuing the series next year.

All that said, Under the Whispering Door by TJ Klune was hands down the winner this year. The found family, the grumpy sunshine, the ghost dog... I could not have asked for more.

Thanks for reading with me this year, I hope next year brings even more literary joy. 🩷📚

Not every classic is a hit, I didnt love this, but I did love the journey. Reading books from totally different times in history is SO interesting and something I'll never get sick of.
