B6 can also be helpful with morning sickness in pregnancy (I like to combine it with ginger extract.) Toxic levels of B6 can cause nerve damage so if you are wanting to include this one in your health regime it’s important that you do it under the guidance of a health practitioner. X by @auracare._

Time stops existing when you become a mama so I like to consider motherhood in different seasons. And each season has a different focus point or demands on your body.

Rather than expecting yourself to “bounce back,” it’s helpful to think of these transitions as distinct pivots of focus. These are not the only stages, of course, Motherhood is so much more complex than that and carries through the rest of your life (hello more shifts when kids leave home, relationship dynamics, career pivots, lifestyle changes etc), but I like to think of these as great points in journey to come back to yourself and check-in with your body.

To move through the journey of motherhood with grace, we should look at what’s actually happening in that chapter and support each with its own nutritional, hormonal, nervous-system and lifestyle needs.

Up to 50% of women diagnosed with gestational diabetes are likely to develop type 2 diabetes within five years after giving birth.

Insulin resistance creeps up about 10-15 years before type 2 diabetes hits. That’s a decade or more of opportunity to reverse condition before it’s diagnosed and so much harder to heal. DM me if you’d like to address this now x

Recognise yourself?

I think it’s very important to befriend and be curious of different signs that your body shows you. Especially in the season of postpartum, where our bodies are entering a whole new era, tending to it and being curious on what it’s communication is a wonderful way to honour your unique needs.

These are some common signs that might indicate deficiencies. Comment below which one hits home and I’ll give simple tip to improve absorption/levels x by @auracare._

When my first baby was 2yo I was the patient mother. The gentle, understanding, I-honour-your-every-need-beyond-my-capacity mother.
Then my second turned 2 and I had my third baby. I became the snappy mother. The irritated, impatient, shouting, overstimulated and exhausted beyond words mother.
It was soo humbling. I met parts of me I never had met before. Now looking back I see how I had no idea how to set healthy boundaries, I was completely avoidant to my own needs and emotions and this was my growing pains into learning to honour it all. Sometimes I still feel sad that my second was the one that had to teach this to me and in the process witness those sides of me. I’m also grateful.

I won’t stop going on about the magic of motherhood because for most mothers it’s the journey that drops the bullshit that you think you are and shows you ALL parts of you. It’s your choice whether you turn these into your blessings or pain.

Did you have a chapter in your motherhood when you found yourself so out of your comfort zone you knew there was no turning back? Or are you there now? by @auracare._

I shared about me weaning my last baby on my stories and some of you were on the same boat so here’s my tips again in case you missed them!

For me it was the end of a 7 year chapter of continuosly either feeding or being pregnant (or both). My body is still adjusting, it is a huge transition but I have found a lot of support from these remedies.

Share this with a mama who’s going through the same to help them enter this new season with more ease ❤️ by @auracare._
