Our lovely Naturopath Iida @elo_holistichealth is a mama bear of two little cubs and knows all too well how challenging it can be taking care of yourself whilst juggling Motherhood.

And with the end of year holidays approaching this is often an equally exciting and exhausting for mamas.

She sees so many mamas reaching out on different forums seeking support for more energy, help with weight loss and how to improve focus ~ so Iida is offering a sweet $30 off consultations for all mamas until the end of November.

Use the code MOTHER to redeem ~ for both in-person & online consults.

A way for you to receive support for this last stretch of 2023.

Iida doesn’t just care for mamas though ~ you’ll find her supporting her clients from children, women of all stages of life and men. All are welcome 🤗

@elo_holistichealth is available in our sanctuary space on Wednesdays.

Beautiful words shared by our Naturopath Iida @elo_holistichealth 🌿

The philosophical principle of vitalism did not separate the mind and body. The Greek philosophers, such as Aristotle, considered that living organisms consisted of soul and form, and these operated inseparately to the whole. Thus, also the environment was reciprocity as to what was manifested in form.

There are multiple ways you can practice vitalism, however there are a few things that are most accessible and can support a great rhythm for life where ever you are.

~ Grounding - This cultivates the element Earth. It will also regenerate the ionic balance in your body and thus support healthy metabolism, and clear mind. About 20mins of bare feet in the ground will generate change in the body and balance positive charge.

~ Hydrotherapy - Water has countless therapeutic values. Cold exposure has been shown to improve the immune system, regulate inflammatory cascades, release endorphins and improve cognition. Daily ocean swim will also support mineral and ionic balance.

~ Sun gazing in the morning will help set your circadian rhythm. 10-20 mins in the morning without sunglasses will help to regulate your body and increase dopamine levels. Never look straight in the sun and stop if you experience painful eyes.

~ Breath - Changing the way you breathe can alter your heart rate, digestion, energy and more. Start and finish your day with conscious breaths. This can be done while you sun gaze in the morning, and when starting your evening routine. Activate your digestion by taking 3 slow breaths before meals.

You can receive support from Iida on Wednesdays in our sanctuary space.

NEW PRACTITIONER ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

We are blessed to be welcoming this sweet lady Iida @elo_holistichealth to our Earth Mothers family from next week!

Iida is a qualified naturopath from Finland. She has completed a degree in Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) and is currently deepening her knowledge in classical homeopathy.

"My special interest is in somatic expression of emotional health. This means I explore how the body expresses its inner world and stored experiences. I help resolve emotional patterns causing imbalance of the body with vibrational medicine, however I also use other forms of therapies such as herbal medicine and food as medicine.

I experienced the healing power of vibration medicine during my first pregnancy, and it was a turning point in my life as a mother and healer.

I have since found my passion in helping my clients understand how our health is a holistic experience of body, mind and spirit, and holding space in the highly potent healing space that is parenthood.”

You will find Iida in our sanctuary space on WEDNESDAYS sharing her magic of:

🌼 Naturopathic Consultations

🌼 Flower Essence Therapy

🌼 Emotional Wellbeing Support

🌼 Holistic Health 3-Month Journeys

You’ll find more about Iidas offerings and bookings on our website shortly ~ until then you can head over to her page @elo_holistichealth to find out more about her essence.

Welcome Iida to the family!
🥰

The vagus nerve is a nerve connecting and governing multiple organs in our body. This nerve activates the rest-and-digest state, which is vital for proper digestion and healing. Some signs of compromised vagus nerve tone may be poor digestion, anxiety and depression, irregular or low heart rate and increased inflammation.

The vagal tone can be measured by heart rate variability - this is the fluctuation of the heart rate between inhalation and exhalation. Higher variability suggests higher vagal tone. An easy way to measure this is also by observing how fast your heart rate returns to normal after exercising.

The vagus nerve is part of the autonomic nervous system (governing the instinctual functions such as breathing and heart rate) and it travels down the neck to connect to other organs. For this reason creating safety in the body and environment, and stimulating the throat muscles are excellent tools in practising vagal tone.

A long period of fasting, especially overnight, can reduce the risk of SIBO.

This is because fasting can improve the migrating motor complex (MMC). If the MMC does not function properly your food can remain in the stomach and small intestine for a longer time, which can contribute to SIBO.

Sometimes the underlying cause for SIBO can be an issue with the MMC. Your MMC kicks in after 90 minutes of fasting, so it is very important not to snack between meals if possible!
