THE SANDMAN

My piece from @auradanceco show, “As the Light Changes”

Inspired by the whispers of mutiny, change, and revolution that only occur at night, The Sandman works to keep us asleep as we fight for consciousness and autonomy. “The night gives rise to revolt.”

Light was never just a design element in this show; it was our main character. A living presence that guided the story, shifted the atmosphere, and inspired every moment of “As The Light Changes”. These photos by @bennyp0p capture the arc of our show so beautifully- thank you for preserving these memories in such an artistic, intentional way! by @auradanceco

Introducing the digital archive of “As The Light Changes”, available now!! The response to this show has meant more to us than we can express. Many have asked for the words, poems, and soundscape from the show so over the past few days we have been creating an archive for this production that means so much to our company.

On the new Aura website, you can now access the full soundscape of the show, with photos and videos from the production being added soon. There is also a “Creation” tab where you can explore the director’s production notes and step further into the world behind the work.

We wanted to create a space for this production to live beyond the stage. Website link in our bio. 💡✨

Last chance to see it live tonight- 7:00 pm at The Valentine Theater in American Fork, UT.
