@astropackers founder Daniel is excited to be among the 25 photographers whose astrophoto pieces are represented in Eyes in the Dark astrophotography exhibition (currently on view at @auroragallerynm in Albuquerque's Sawmill District).
It's one thing to store processed astro images strictly in the digital format, but there's something very special about printing them and turning them into physical objects. The process breathes life into the image. It feels like bringing a window into the universe to your living space.

Over the coming weeks, we will use this space to feature Daniel’s pieces in the exhibition (open through May 30th). Please DM us if you are interested in purchasing this one-of-a-kind art on 16 x 16 metal print. This week, we present you Crescent Nebula HOO.

This is a 25-light-year wide emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus. On March 11 of last year, I started imaging this nebula (a.k.a. NGC 6888) for 1 hour each morning. This is a combined 14 hours of Ha and O3. I am pleased with how the colors and details turned out.

Meet “Infinite Exposure” - this special collaboration is one that lit me up like the night sky! Working with @sarahmpix is so much fun. She is creative, smart and extremely talented!
We discussed her process and how it smells and feels for her being in nature and under the New Mexico stars in the wee hours of the morning. This candle captures the essence of moist earth, forest and desert all in one whiff.
Join us next Friday from 6p-9p as Sarah and a group of local astrophotographers showcase their work. Her gallery is just around the corner from @cocreationsltd at 1751 Bellamah Ave. NW. We will be open as well to help celebrate these talented photographers.

Rumor has it there may be a telescope or two in the neighborhood and it is entirely possible that you may find a Moon Pie or Space Snacks lying around to enhance your enjoyment!
