Aritzia might’ve just convinced me to wear peplum again 😭

I debated posting this because 1) I hated the way I looked near the last few weeks of my pregnancy and 2) I felt like my lifting numbers weren’t great. But I thought I’d share it anyway because progress isn’t always pretty, and sometimes it’s worth documenting the parts of the journey we’re not particularly proud of.

I stopped lifting heavy around 30+ weeks pregnant, and getting back into strength training postpartum has been a humbling experience. Exercises that used to feel effortless suddenly felt challenging, and I had to remind myself that I wasn’t starting from scratch, but rebuilding instead.

Now, 4 months postpartum, I’m slowly working my way back to my pre-pregnancy strength. I’m not quite where I used to be, but looking back at where I started makes me appreciate how far I’ve come!

I’m just grateful that my body is allowing me to do something I love again 🥹

These are just a few of the exercises I’ve been incorporating into my routine, not my entire program! I’ll be sharing more of my workouts and progress as I continue rebuilding my strength, so feel free to follow along 🤍

To all the moms who lifted before, during, or after pregnancy: how long did it take you to feel like yourself in the gym again?

Boho is officially back… but is it really a new fashion era? From sheer layers and ruffles to suede, bold prints and intentionally undone styling, the boho revival is taking over fashion again, with Chemena Kamali’s Chloé helping lead the shift.

But today’s boho revival has a familiar history: the 2000s Sienna Miller-era aesthetic was already borrowing heavily from the ’70s. So are we watching fashion move forward, or just watching the trend cycle come full circle?

✨ Follow for more fashion trends, history and cultural commentary.

After years of quiet luxury, clean-girl minimalism and perfectly curated capsule wardrobes, fashion is getting weird again...

“Whimsymaxxing” embraces bag charms, playful accessories, nostalgic details and intentionally childlike styling. But what happens when individuality itself becomes a trend?

I went deeper into whimsymaxxing, why fashion is embracing playfulness again, and the irony of brands selling individuality back to us in my latest article on The Aurtencio Edit - link in bio!

Featured in a magazine, 2024.

I used to think finding your style, building confidence, growing a platform, getting tattooed, getting stronger, and reaching your goals were all separate journeys. But ooking back, they were the same journey. Every version of me thought she wasn’t “there” yet. Instead, every version of me was building the next one. So don’t cringe at who you used to be, because she was becoming you.
