A full-circle moment. This is Austin's legacy in action—and your generosity at work. 💙

Years ago, Austin was evaluated for a Tobii Dynavox eye gaze communication device through @familyvoicesal (CRS). The video is from that evaluation with the technician.

Right after Aces Fore Austin this past May, the same tech from CRS reconnected with us through Austin 1st with an opportunity to help an Alabama family whose child needed that very same device.

Because of your support, A1F and another nonprofit collaborated to cover the family's entire insurance copay.

Austin’s 5th birthday. 2018

This picture reminds us that joy isn’t something you wait for when life gets easier. Sometimes it’s a choice you make right where God has you.

Looking back, it’s fitting that this was the passage Lindsey read on Austin’s birthday years earlier. It came at a time when God was preparing our hearts for a journey we never saw coming.

Last year, @zdeanfrance & I decided it would be fun to make the trip from SLC & Tampa to Auburn for the @austin1stfoundation Charity Golf Tournament. Along the way, we picked up 2 more teammates in @pcansfield & @raelyn_dessart. We had a blast and managed to finish 3rd somehow, but inherited a team identity in the process.

In 2026, the Purple People Eaters returned to Opelika, with a mascot and theme song. It was a beautiful day, a gorgeous course, playing for an amazing foundation…and would you believe it!?!?!?? WE WON THE DARN THING!!!!

What an awesome day on the course with 3 of the most amazing humans I know. Our team is unconventional. We come from 4 different walks of life. But man, can we play a scramble! Thank you to the Terlings for their sacrifice, dedication & love they show. Thank you to the Austin 1st Foundation for bringing us all together for a great cause, and to @rtjgolftrail for providing one heck of a fun course to navigate.

Love my teammates & can’t wait to DEFEND our title in ‘27! Until then, watch out for those one eyed, one horned, flying purple people eaters! 😁🤣🏆 by @austin1stfoundation
