🎻 A violin solo that steals the spotlight. A soprano who takes your breath away. An opera you rarely get to experience live. Thaïs is a little temptation you won’t want to resist. 💋 by @austinopera
Jules Massenet's tale of sensuality and spirituality, which centers around a seductive priestess and a holy man is one of the most bewitching and introspective operas ever to grace the stage. With a lush, sweeping score—including the famous "Méditation"—Thaïs is seductive, sumptuous, and anything but predictable. 🏵 Your first look at Ofrenda! At its heart, Ofrenda is about the hopes and sacrifices we make for our children’s well-being, and a daughter’s journey toward understanding and honoring those who came before her. Austin Opera’s first commissioned work makes its world premiere tomorrow at the new Butler Performance Center! 📸 Erich Schlegel by @austinopera
