At its heart, Ofrenda is about the hopes and sacrifices we make for our children’s well-being, and a daughter’s journey toward understanding and honoring those who came before her.

Omg the ”Ofrenda” opera is amazing!!!!! Saw this last night and from the opening music scene (not spoiling or giving this intro away) giving us goosebumps, the storyline, the characters, the settings, I’m bilingual and appreciate the humor and the reverence in both languages. And there was even Nhautl (yes?) dialect translations in certain strong moments. Brilliant and genius! The opera singers are also phenomenal. I want to see this again so much - tickets are all sold out!!! It’s a world premiere in the brand new opera center on this maiden first opera premiere. Unforgettable and beautiful. Emotional. Thank you to one and all who made incredible music and beautiful opera this happen. Can there be an Ofrenda Part Two?!?!
