I had the chance to talk to @nithyaforthecity about the issues most near and dear to my heart—keeping LA a vibrant and creative city, making art education accessible to all children, and (of course) Team Edward verses Team Jacob. ❤️🎨✨🌆🎞️🐺🎥 taken in Los Angeles, California by @austynliston

I wanted to name her Renesmee, but Chad said I couldn’t name her after any characters from Twilight.

So this is our new puppy…Twilight Saga New Moon de Lugo Liston. You can call her “Twilight.” 🐾🐺 taken in Harbor Animal Shelter, San Pedro by @austynliston

The new book Fire in Your Belly was such a perfect pairing for this artwork by @kdrslaysthepatriarchy that I decided to bring one of my classes at @armoryarts into the gallery and read it to them there. ❤️🔥 taken in Armory Center for the Arts by @austynliston

One of my favorite people ever. ❤️ Jocelyn and I were in the same grad school cohort at @otiscollege in 2015. We graduated in 2017, and immediately were in the same fellowship cohort at @armoryarts that same year. We used to assist each other when we first started teaching. This is us almost 12 years later. She is the Studio Director at the Armory and I’m the Education Coordinator and we are both just as passionate as ever about making art education accessible for as many people as possible and bringing art into our communities. I think baby us would be proud. 🥰 taken in Armory Center for the Arts by @austynliston

Thanks for absolutely nothing @academymuseum 🙃 I literally just wanted to post about *your* exhibition while it was relevant. It’s crazy how rude your staff is to families with children. Be better. by @austynliston
