“In Pursuit.”

These photos from the Myopia Hunt in Hamilton are the start of another shift for me creatively.

A drag hunt moving through streets and stunning private estates in full traditional wear is so special to witness. Both beauty and history in the best possible way.

Myopia Hunt dates back to the late 1800s and you feel that history in the way that Sam, Connor and Devon continue on that tradition. The way everyone shows up with their incredibly well-loved horses, the way everyone at any age feels like an old friend, the pups (I am taking Hingham) Ohhh and the hosted tea. Shall I go on? The old estates, the rolling fields, the whole practice of it all.

grew up around horses and I am in pursuit of bringing these worlds together in a way that feels more artistic and intentional. I love traditional horse show photography, but I also want to create images with mood, movement, storytelling, and personality. Photos that feel cinematic while still staying true to the sport and the people in it. A beautiful portrait of a horse jumping and looking it’s best in a freeze frame is, of course, beautiful... but what about your expressions, your interactions, the way the entire day plays out? How did the day truly feel? That’s where I want to come in with my big ol camera. (I need a smaller one though if I do this mounted one day so buy my art so I can buy one) :) : ) :)

@georginaprestonphoto @juanfayora Georgina Preston’s and a Juan Fayora’s hunt photography played a huge role in inspiring me to lean into this. Her work captures atmosphere in such a powerful way, and seeing it made me realize equestrian photography can be both documentary and art at the same time.

So this series feels important to me.

“In Pursuit” isn’t just about the hunt. It’s about pursuing a creative style that feels authentic to who I am as both a rider and photographer. Combining the worlds I love instead of keeping them separate.

More of this.
More portraits.
More storytelling.
More mornings spent in nature.

Alli + Alex in Maine 🌊

I don’t know how many times I probably told Alli this already, but I am beyond honored that she and Alex trusted me to capture their wedding day. It couldn’t have been more perfect weather as I watched two wonderful humans celebrate with their friends and family. (First time being a wedding guest and shooting the day!!)

A peak into Connor & Julia’s day

@mountaintopresort in late fall was unreal: muted colors, soft light, that cozy, seasonal vibe that makes moments feel deep. And these two filled every bit of it with meaning and joy.

Tinsley was such a star, the flower girls and ring bearer had so much love for their aunt and uncle. Julia made her own wedding cake and styled it with her best friends florals. the dance floor had physics-defying lifts courtesy of Connor, and the waffle cabin confirmed that late-night waffles should be mandatory at all events from here on out.

It was my first big destination wedding and somehow still felt easy and full of laughter — because that’s just who these two are. I’m genuinely grateful I got to be there with Chris, documenting every sweet, wonderful piece of it.

I’m slowing down in December to be with my family before I’m back to teaching … and I’m so glad this was one of the weddings to close my year out with.

I feel like I understand Augie’s internal monologue. 🌱🪻🪴. Happiest, wide-eyed boy!

Erika and Andrea reminded me of how wild and fast time can feel… we haven’t see eachother in over a decade. Now swapping stories and meeting our kids! It is a reminder to treat ourselves if we are able, jump in the photos we would normally be taking, and hold these moments when our littles are little-ing for only so long.
