I was lucky to have had three amazing ladies participate in a deeply personal and powerful passion project / a bit of series exploring the healing connection between women and horses during pregnancy and postpartum. While beautiful in every high and low, this time can often be marked by hypervigilance and vulnerability in our fast paced and digital world. Not to mention intensive mothering and overlooked mental health needs.

I have witnessed firsthand the harsh reality that many women, including
myself, face: no access to paid leave, forcing us to navigate the postpartum phase
without adequately available resources.

Through these images, I really wanted to honor the grounding and
restorative power horses offer women in this critical period. One that I was able to feel myself through two pregnancies with HG.

With my second child arriving, I felt a massive pull and inspiration to use my artistic platform to celebrate pregnant and postpartum women’s strength, beauty,
and resilience alongside our animals.

This pull has come from my own internal work and
connections I am beyond lucky to have created through my art, equestrian journeys and careers.

Through my business, I am able to give back by offering free sessions to equine nonprofits for
fundraising and to teachers without paid leave, blending my commitment to human and animal wellness
with creative empowerment.

Being able to spotlight an often invisible aspect of women’s lives while delivering
empowering and beautiful photos depicting it all was my goal here: the healing, strength and connection in pregnancy, postpartum and the motherhood journey.

I was going to write a whole thing about how hard it all is to balance, how I wish that as teachers we didn’t need to work 3 jobs to support our families … but it’s my hard and it’s my circus. I love it. if I am capable of this I’m capable of ANYTHING and SO ARE YOU🤍🤣🤪

7th grade me is screaming when I used my mother’s photoshop to sepia every single one of my MySpace photos. AHEAD. OF. MY. TIME.

Sepia, especially when done in a subtle manner can be so, so beautiful! Thanks to my models that didn’t even know you’d get filtered this way.

My wish for these two is more champagne and celebration as they head into WEDDING YEAR! 🥂✨💍. Hope everyone is enjoying the few days between holidays and ready for the weekend. Excited for 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣!

PS - Thank you all for supporting my growing business, your referrals and general hype. I’ve never worked so hard between working full time, mom life, horses and family time. There have been some super hard moments but many, many fulfilling and eye opening ones.

Another #handlettered #seatingchart on the mirror rental! The best thing about this video is I filtered it and the filter gave me a lip ring. The worst part of this video is Chance ate my ice cream. $&@*#%^.

Welp, it’s 11pm. Time to teach the littles all week! I’m keeping the lip ring.
