Let’s make a little more space for the grief we carry. ☕🧡

On Saturday, October 24th, Authentic Relating Ottawa is hosting The Last Tea Party at the @WitchSchoolCanada Shop in the @bywardmarket .

Grief isn’t only about death. It can live in the ending of a relationship, changes in identity, aging, the loss of a dream, a changing world, or something you’re still trying to make sense of.

The Last Tea Party is a simple invitation to pull up a chair, sip some tea, and share your story with an attentive ARO listener who is there simply to listen and get curious about your experience.

No fixing. No advice. No need to reciprocate. Just dedicated human presence and space to speak your truth.

🗓️ Saturday, October 24th, 1–4pm
📍 WitchSchool Shop, 60 ByWard Market Square
🎟️ Drop in by donation (not required)
🌧️ Outdoors + weather dependent

We are looking for local tea and sweets makers/vendors to collaborate with us for two special community events in the ByWard Market this October.

We need donations for:

☕ Death Café
🗓️ October 11 | 1–4 PM
An open, facilitated conversation about death, dying, mortality, and what makes life meaningful.

🫖 The Last Tea Party
🗓️ October 24 | 1–4 PM
A space to share stories of loss and grief in all its forms, paired 1-on-1 with an attentive ARO listener.

A Death Cafe isn’t therapy, a lecture, or a grief group. It’s simply an open, facilitated space where strangers gather to discuss death, dying, and what makes life meaningful.

📍 Where: WitchSchoolShop in the Byward Market on George Street
🎟️ Admission: Drop-In by donation (cash only)
🌧️ Weather: Rain or shine—dress warmly!

Ottawa, help us create a little magic in the ByWard Market this October! ✨ presented by @witchschoolcanada

We’re creating an outdoor space for a month of community events and we’re looking for a few things to help make it feel warm, welcoming, and inviting:

🪑 Patio furniture *any condition*
💡 Candles/string lights (battery or solar powered)
🧵 Fabrics + textiles (black/purple)
🌿 Anything else you think could help create a cozy outdoor gathering space

Have something sitting around that you’d be happy to lend or donate rather than store away for the winter? Or maybe someone in your local Buy Nothing group is looking to pass something along?

We’d love to give it a new life in the Market! 🧡
