Based in County Clare, Ireland, Joshua Brown (@av.h.264 ) is a multidisciplinary artist bridging the gap between structural precision and raw tactile experience.
Currently pursuing an MA in Sculpture at RCA, his practice is grounded in an unconventional path: from Mechanical Engineering to years spent as a tree surgeon and house renovator.
Originally rooted in sound, his work has evolved through aggressive experimentation with video and digital media.

Today, he integrates sculpture, sound, and digital elements to explore the friction between technical engineering and artistic expression.

[MA SCULPTURE 26’] Artist Spotlight

Joshua Brown is an interdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of sculpture and audio-visual media. His practice explores the delicate tensions between sustainability, memory, and deterioration.

Joshua’s sculptural process is defined by a rigorous commitment to material life cycles; he selects components based on their potential for reuse and recyclability, ensuring the construction is as considered as the concept. Parallel to his physical work, his audio-visual compositions draw heavily from sample culture, recontextualizing found sounds and imagery to mirror the themes of salvage and transformation found in his physical objects. by @av.h.264
