The lengths we went to sesh this was unreal, but I couldn't be more thrilled with how it turned out.

It's been a whirlwind consisting of the most crazed summer of my life, of going to the tree at ungodly hours just to work Dream during "temps". I'm so thankful for everyone who supported and believed in me, even though we all knew it would've been easier to go back in the winter. Grateful for the friends I'd see at Tram in the summer, for keeping things light and helping me see the humor in the madness when I was deep in a pit of despair just hours before. The @madrockhq fam for their psyche whenever I laid out my newly cracked plan to make it out there for a "weather window" (b/c let's be real, a Joshua Tree window in the summer is still too damn hot).

Special thanks to @uhbad, for seeing and understanding my Why in it's entirety and sitting through some horrendously sweltering nights. I wanted to finish it for you all just as much as I wanted it for myself.

I'll never forget the lessons learned underneath the Milky Way. She gets ALL the stars from me 💘

First of the grade :)

I couldn’t find footy of climbers my size doing the last move and that made me wonder, “Could I?”

Took my ankle in the process, but this was me not taking “no” for an answer.

Behind the scenes:
1. Blindly and painstakingly piecing it together over some long nights with @rohanlageweg, thanks for being a rare one
2. S/O to @arete_theory for a drawing with an alt finishing foot that convinced me to change my sequence after the worst fall of my life
3. TYSM @boulder.beans and Pablo for the generous truck support and gathering a double stack worth of pads so I wouldn’t die again
4. Everyone who showed up with psyche and support while I tried to find my own way to latch the top. I’m so grateful 🥹

I was in awe when I first saw this a few years ago, but it was way out of my pay grade. When I thought I was strong enough to try, it still took many sessions to find my sequence through the harder first half (how sick is that high heel + toe clamp/bike situation though?!) and more than I’d like to admit chuffing the final squeeze through the top. Absolutely lost my mind last year when I punted days before the gate closed.

HUGE shoutout to @babyface_matt for being cracked enough to fire up the ChevroLegs and hike it with me in December 💀Past OK Corral, past Boulder Basin, 4.6 miles uphill from the gate to Xeno, and through snow at the end. Hardest approach of my life and didn’t send (shocking), but it made for one hell of a day out. Stoked to put it down clean this time with you there!

Thank you @emmanuel.canalizo for being able to sleep on any surface and never letting me feel guilty for holding you hostage there all those nights. @ibbqcats for the psyche and the keys that day. The road’s a beautiful mess that never stops being fun, and I’m always grateful when friends trust me with their rigs. All my sends here are team sends 🫰

For funsies, to commemorate the process :) Countless terrifying falls, shattered spirits, and tirades of profanity later, the saga of this mega rig is finally over.

Got absolutely bodied by this boulder. Spotters were unfortunately amongst the casualties as well 🥲🫶 Overhanging rock + sloped landing combo made the falls especially punishing, but maybe more air time = more fun? Mental state after this endeavor might be questionable. Goodbye Vegan, thankful for the memories but so glad you’re officially off the menu ✌️🖤

He evades me no longer. Affectionately coined F*CKBOY ARETE, this was the first climb in Bishop that had me aching to go back. Pretty happy it went on the first rip from the bottom this time :)

Trusting the little foot for the last big move out left used to be a mental block for me, but having the sticky Drone CS's made a world of difference!

Almost took a hard pass after feeling the pure glass shelves, but I was assured that the moves were well within my wheelhouse if I just remembered that I knew how to climb. Proceeded to witness the most beautiful flow train from friends who dared to take her on.

Mental float was in the air, and pretty soon so was I.

Don't think I could have ticked this mega classic on my first trip to Leavy without the support from the exact people who were there that day and I'm so grateful. It's intimidatingly large, more overhanging than expected. Truly a no-fall boulder. What a stunner.

Saw this bloc from the road and got psyched enough to hike it. But it wasn’t the jug haul I expected - it was a long slope-y edge overhanging over shallow, frigid water. I questioned if I had the strength to lie back open-handed for so many moves, under the lip without a good visual for what I was reaching for. We couldn't spot a bail-out after the first few feet. I wasn’t dressed for water and taking the plunge wasn’t an option.

It took more than an hour to gather the courage and jump into the start. The send victory was betrayed by the wind which had other plans for the camera. Second go was even more terrifying after fighting the pump from the first, and I was scrabbling at anything I could find to get to the top. It was absolutely thrilling.

Managed to run into a wild @madrockhq ambass @aval.ange this past weekend at Black! List of special attacks I've observed include: JTree/Tramway two a days in the summer 🤪, finding out she's lit mid climb, and sleep (she ko'd for a moment at Tour 😂). She's psyched, tries hard, and seems to have a lot of fun. Pretty invaluable traits in a climber imo.

As far as this particular line goes, it's not featured in the guidebook or the mountain project, but has very likely been done before. We're calling it Stone Face Center for now and it goes up the middle of the "left" and "right" lines. It starts on the same holds as Stone Face Right but moves directly up. Having tried it myself (Sean), I found it a little bit harder and more finicky than the adjacent problems which probably keeps it as a book blue tag. The top out is relatively easy but pretty stimulating--asking you to commit to only one good hand for the rock over. Angela did a great job 🥹
