Dear Bookstas and Booktokers,
Following on from my announcement last week, here's a call for beta readers :)

For romance readers who like a WLW Romance packed with distant flirtation (iykyk), flirtation, gay panic, almosts, yearning, questionable decisions, lust, love, surrender: set against a CIA spy operation background. It comes with all the tenderness, patience and safe spaces you'd expect in a lesbian romance.

Tropes: Lesbian/WLW Romance (Femme x Femme), Age Gap (6 yrs), Morally Grey FMCs, Complicated Love Triangle, Stalking, Forbidden Love, Open Door Spice, Slow Burn, Believer x Atheist, Mutual Pining, Second Chances, Forced Proximity, "Just Sex" Arrangement, Found Family, Secret Identity, Secret Relationships, Love vs. Duty, Lovers to Enemies to Lovers, HEA Guaranteed

Short Blurb:
Set against the high-energy, high-stakes and dangerous backdrop of clandestine operations, this romance follows Jane and Mabel as they fight to protect their country, and their hearts. Love takes root where deception is second nature. Passion survives fire and darkness. Their lives forever changed, the women arrive at their happily-ever-after carrying each other.

There's a long list of trigger warnings, and I can supply them to you before you commit :) There's a reason (aka c3ns0ring) I'm not listing it here lol!

What you'll get when you beta read for me :) Free eBook and/or physical copy of ARC or Released Book (you choose), licensed stock images for use in social media (only if you credit me and Adobe Stock, to protect licensing requirements), group chat with me and other beta readers (if you wish to join), previews of covers/news/reveals and my utmost gratitude for your feedback that helps me improve my work.

Please DM me if you're interested!

Jane & Mabel releases March 20, 2027.

As always, thank you Bookstagram and Booktok for giving me and my books a space in this wonderful corner of the internet.

xoxo, @avamilns

omggg, we're almost there to the next big milestone - the cover reveal!

no other book of mine has gone through this enormous amount of iterations to get it perfect for you all! and now, i just can't wait until thursday, november 5th to share it with the world.

Jane & Mabel is a WLW (Femme x Femme) Romance, filled with power, tenderness, passion, energy, coziness, intimacy... everything you'd expect from a lesbian romance. Of course, there's explicit spice, duh! I've threaded in a few subplots to keep the romance real and thrilling all the way to the happily-ever-after. The novel is in two parts (a duet), and I guarantee you that the ending will leave all women - lesbians or not - smiling ear-to-ear.

As always, I thank this corner of the internet, the best and safest place to be, and I thank all you awesome Bookstagrammers and BookTokers for making it so!

Happy Halloween & Happy Fall Season!

Jane & Mabel is slowly becoming production ready: books that readers can finally hold, and apparently the best way to explain the journey is with mathematics and emotional damage. 🩷🤍🧡

The duet is currently with beta readers, and the cover reveal is November 5. While the covers remain a secret, here’s a Fibonacci-shaped look at how the story grew, from a blank page to two books about women whose training did not prepare them for each other.

There are untrustable names, divided loyalties, and three hearts caught in the crossfire. But at the center of this WLW spy romance are five little words: she was never the assignment.

What scares you more in a romance: the secret, or the moment it comes out?

consent, but make it bookish! 😂📚

the idea for this fun post today came from a fun story i saw on a page i respect (@mysmutcorner 😊)

how does consent work between authors and readers? from full consent to dubious consent, non-consent, and CNC, here's a cheeky take on dark romance, taboo fiction, trigger warnings, reader choice, and author accountability.

all in good fun, with a serious message about informed choices and mutual respect. 🩷

**authors & readers, where do you draw the line? are detailed trigger warnings enough, or do authors owe readers more? and when expectations aren't met, what's the fairest way to handle it?** 👀

Dear Bookstas and Booktas :)

I’m excited to announce that I’ll be revealing the covers to this duet on Thursday 5th November 😊🩷🤍🧡

There is a delay because I’ve had to switch the cover design platform to the one I believe helps me bring out the essence of the novel. I’ll be finishing up the design soon. I have sorted out licensing issues with Adobe Stock. Keep watching this space for the cover reveal. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Hint/teaser: the covers are NSFW, and I’ll have a SFW version as well.

Thank you as always, for giving me and my books a safe space here.

I love you All, and I hope you enjoy the Fall Season.

I’m nervous as hell, now that I’ve exposed myself and sent out the manuscript to beta readers!

I’m also excited to be planning the next milestone in the journey of Jane & Mabel’s duet - the cover reveal. I’m finishing up the design and I have a few things to sort out with Adobe. Keep watching this space for the date of cover reveal announcement. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Hint/teaser: the covers are NSFW, and I’ll have a SFW version as well.
