What if education looked beyond the classroom?

Sometimes, it takes stepping outside our everyday world to rethink how we teach and learn.

A journey to Antarctica sparked a powerful realisation: our world is changing, but is education keeping up?

From climate change to global challenges, how can we ensure young people are learning not just about the world, but how to make a difference in it?

At Avanti, we believe education should inspire curiosity, encourage big questions and empower the next generation of changemakers.

Discover more conversations like this on The Soul of Education podcast.

Strumming up creativity at Avanti Grange!

Music is more than just learning notes and chords. It's about creativity, confidence, self-expression and finding your own rhythm!

At Avanti Grange, our students are exploring the joy of music through guitar, developing new skills, expressing themselves and discovering the power of music to bring people together.

Every great musician starts with a single note!

What happens when we ask the pupils at Avanti Park some fun questions?

From imagining their teachers with superpowers to taking over the school for a day, our pupils certainly have some creative ideas!

All-day breaks, unlimited sweets and students making the rules? It sounds like the teachers might have their hands full!

We love seeing the imagination, humour and personalities of our young people shine through.

What would YOU do if you were in charge of your school for a day?

The part of school leadership nobody tells you about? The joy.

“I was worried that becoming a CEO would disconnect me from the classroom. Actually, it’s a wonderful place to be, because I get to see even more children and young people.”

Read Because You Love It!

Reading isn’t just about lessons, homework or exams. When young people choose to read simply because they enjoy it, they discover new worlds, explore different perspectives and develop their imagination.

Whether it’s a novel, comic, poem or something completely different, making time to read for pleasure can help build confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

Sometimes, the best reason to pick up a book is simply because you want to.

Avanti Quest: Challenge. Gratitude. Growth.

What an incredible week for our Year 6 children from Avanti Gardens at Bryntysilio in North Wales!

From stepping outside their comfort zones and conquering fears, to supporting one another through new challenges, Avanti Quest has given our children the opportunity to grow in confidence, resilience and teamwork.

This week’s theme of gratitude has been woven throughout the experience, appreciating the support of friends and teachers, recognising the little things people do for us, and taking time to notice and connect with the beautiful nature around us.

We’ve seen children come out of their shells, face activities they once felt nervous about and turn them into some of their favourite moments of the week.

More than just an outdoor adventure, Avanti Quest is about creating experiences that help our children grow, both individually and together.

From Executive Principal to lollipop man!

If you’ve ever arrived at school in the morning, there’s a good chance you’ve seen our very own Executive Principal, Mr Penny, helping pupils and families safely across the road.

It’s just one of those things he does as part of being part of the school community, and we love it!

Because sometimes, being a school leader means stepping away from the office and getting stuck in.
