Tea time with a royal twist 👑☕

My thoughtful nephew brought me King Charles’ tea from England, and today I’ve paired it with a cherished letter from Buckingham Palace (I sent the King a Christmas card!), hoping he would grant a right royal wish.

On this long weekend, I’m dreaming about a bucket-list goal: studying at the Royal Drawing School in London.

Now that there’s a vacancy at the palace, I thought I could swap my cooking and art skills for accommodation while studying. With a few spare rooms or stables available these days, I thought it was worth asking!

But no rooms were available — not even in the Tower of London.

Oh well… Plan B 😉

Went to the sunset ANZAC service at the Sydney Opera House tonight…
the music, the stillness, the setting sun—simply magnificent.

I took a humble packet of ANZAC biscuits to “feed the troops”…
who just happened to be John Howard, Gina Rinehart…
and a few other hungry souls who happily devoured the lot.
i did say to Mr Howard , you can only have one , he gave me an interesting look 👀

it was a delight to meet Gina Rienhart .
I also gave her one of Wendy’s leather ANZAC poppies… I said thank you for the support she was giving to the veterans who were homeless.

But tonight felt different.

As the music played and the sun went down,
I found myself thinking of the mothers…
the ones who received the telegrams,
the ones who never saw their boys come home.

And somehow, I understood them a little more.

"At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,
we will remember them."

There’s a poignant saying that goes like this .
we die twice… once when we leave this world .
and once when our name is no longer spoken.

So tonight, I say their names . Dad, Roy and Adam.
