A very big thank you to an awesome group of Mona vale locals @lightupmonavale. During the month of December they organised a Christmas light and display competition to support the local businesses. Businesses were encouraged to dress up their shopfronts with lights and Christmas decorations. This afternoon the beautiful @averill_mclean awarded us with 1st prize!! Thank you so much guys, after a really hectic Saturday under the pump a beautiful gesture like this really made our day. Thank you to @thepalmssydney for the wonderful gift voucher, we can’t wait to come and visit you guys. What a beautiful community we are a part of, it really means a lot. Merry Christmas to our Mona vale friends. ❤️❤️❤️

What an amazing day of Art, weaving and nature in my studio yesterday. It was so much fun to spend the day with like minded lovely women. These super talented florists created some stunning and very unique Xmas wreaths. Swipe to see more images

Everybody has a story to tell. And so I’m learning to be a better listener!

In the past few days, we’ve met some beautiful people and had the privilege of hearing at least part of their stories. I’ll admit the ‘older’ I get and the more I ‘achieve’ - it’s becoming evident to me that loving people and listening to their story is where it’s at!

I have a favourite little spot - Mona Vale Basin. I have lots of memories attached to here and I used to come here a lot to soak up the salty air and get the wind in my hair. People make rock stacks along the end of the beach which get washed away in storms and then rebuilt. There were 45 of them before the last storm! Last Tuesday I came for an early swim and sketch with @averill_mclean and @liz_pasqualini_art - sooooo beautiful in the morning light. #monavale #monavalebasin #monavalebeach #judysallehart #northernbeacheslocal #northernbeachesartist #sketchbook #khadisketchbook #urbansketching #urbansketchers

A few more pictures from our fun arty weekend in Sofala and Hill End. We met amazingly friendly characterful locals, shared such fun times together, sketched each other, sang along to the banjo in the pub, hitched rides in the back of a Ute, dodged kangaroos, got kisses from the barman, oh and we did a bit of art too!! Oh and we had a drink or two to help us along. Thanks everyone for the wonderful weekend #hillend
