The last year without you hasn’t felt quite right. I talk about you all the time, because instead of being able to call you and ask for advice, I have to draw back on memory and all the things you ever told me. I regret every time I ever rolled my eyes at you as a pre-teen and the last five years I didn’t see you more. I’m thankful for the years we got to spend so much quality time together; I always felt like your little mini-me, and loved getting to go outdoors with you, doing projects together, or even running errands with you. You were, and still are, the smartest person I’ve ever met, and I’m so lucky and blessed that I had 24 years with you and to learn from you. I think you would have loved how much I’ve taken to fishing, and I know you would have loved Neil and how well he loves me. I hope Heaven is as incredible as I think it is.
