So proud to announce that I am officially a candidate for @llsusa Student Visionaries of the Year 2025 class! As a cancer survivor myself, I knew from the start I wanted to make sure no kid has to go through through what I went through. Although I wouldn’t wish what I went through on my worst enemy, I know what I endured was for something much bigger. I am forever grateful I can go back to LLS who helped me and my family through the darkness. I am here on the other side and it is a surreal full circle moment. my Jesus never fails to amaze me when I say a simple yes to Him. LA opened the eyes of my heart in so many ways and also convicted me in ways that i was stuck in ministry.

ministry is ministry when one is willing to sit down and lovingly take on the burdens and sufferings the other is going through, genuinely listening and living with their story.

in LA, i watched the spirit of God refresh the mind and souls of those where we just simply took the time to have a conversation with them. the people of LA, reminded me that no matter what circumstance no one is too far gone from the love of Christ and no one is an exception to His sacrifice to all of us on that cross.

what the world may see as a “lost cause”, “addict”, “absent father”, Jesus sees past that and just sees a precious child He died to save too, and who are we to not put our pride down and ask Him for our eyes to align with His to see that truth too?

i can never give enough thanks to the team that I served alongside with where their hearts were open to His love guiding every interaction and obedient to His Spirit.

Words will never come close to describing the joy that fills my heart as I watched the love and power of Jesus transform the hearts and minds of these kids.

Every time I come to serve and pour into the people of Mexico, I leave realizing they’ve poured into me even more than I could have imagined. Their faith, joy, and love for the Lord continue to challenge and encourage me in ways I never expect.

I truly believe God is going to bring victory to this city. He is already moving through the faithful men and women who have answered His call and continue to serve with willing hearts. It is such a privilege to witness even a small part of what He is doing, and I can’t wait to see how He continues to change lives for His glory.

“Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.”

Dios, qué buen Padre eres. Señor, gracias por darme esta oportunidad de ir a Monterrey. Este lugar ocupa un lugar especial en mi corazón. Jesús, cuando te sirvo es cuando más me siento realizado. No sé cuál es tu plan, pero sé que dondequiera que termine, tú también estarás allí. No hay palabras para describir mi gratitud a ti, Señor. Y a la gente de Monterrey, gracias por mostrarme nuevas maneras de compartir el amor de Cristo. Creo que mi historia con Monterrey aún no ha terminado.

He really has been present, patient, and nurturing since the beginning.

He knew my heart, it just took some time for me, myself to find it. And look where we are now, from singing my head off throughout treatment because it seemed to be the only thing that truly calmed me, to lifting up my voice to the Lord, and Him gifting me with heaps of opportunities to share that with others.

He was intentional with my soul. Your soul wasn’t crafted by Him by accident. I used to be ashamed of my testimony, I thought I should hide and throw away the key to it, so no one else could see the brokenness I’ve been through.

However, our testimonies can strikes people’s hearts in a powerful, supernatural way. And so I know now, that my story is a testament to God’s character, His faithfulness.

Even though there are still days where I may mess up, God is constantly responding by consuming me with the overwhelming truth that He has brought me out of the depths of darkness. And now I am back where I was supposed to be all along, by my Father’s side.

Where I am now is evidence of a living grace. It’s a living hope being birthed in my heart every. single. day. That all started when I first believed in Jesus.

I wanted to express my immense gratitude to the Response and the team of people behind it. You all are truly the hope for the future, a future that I pray will continue to push the gospel to the souls without hope, to the people that are in the same state I was in.

God was with me, still is, and will continue to be. And the same thing He did for me and billions of others, He can do for you. by @avieturner

I saw God this week.

not through sermons, worship music, or even the topic of Him being brought up.

but it was through the children and staff at this camp, who i was put on this earth to pour my heart out to.

He showed a glimpse of His plan for me.

i was a camper at this same camp. and the special thing about Camp Quality is that cancer bonds instead of breaks there.

cancer will never win.

I didn’t survive it by coincidence, i am here to give love and motivation to the kids that i was just like.

God, i couldn’t express enough gratitude for the opportunities you have planted me in. i will do everything in my power to learn from Your Son each and everyday. Thank you for showing Yourself in a different way I have never experienced before.

here’s to many more years to come of serving this camp that has forever changed my life and perspective by @avieturner
