I came into this role grateful for the opportunity…
but I’m leaving it deeply aware of the gift.

Standing in this space night after night, I felt something gently come alive in me—
not because of anything I did, but because I finally made room for what God placed in me a long time ago.

This wasn’t just a performance… it was a reminder.
A reminder that purpose doesn’t have to shout to be real—sometimes it just quietly meets you when you’re willing.

Being a part of this production has been one of the greatest honors of my life,
and without a doubt, my favorite role I’ve ever had the privilege to step into.

Not because it was perfect…
but because it was honest.

Thank you for witnessing the magic.
Thank you for letting me grow right in front of you.

And if there’s anything I’m taking with me, it’s this—
what’s meant for you will find you… and when it does,
you won’t have to force it.

A heartfelt thank you to @jueldlane @rahbiraw , @sdluckett & @truecolorstheatre for choosing me.

I have too many memories from this journey to reduce it to one post so this is post 1:

To my family (by blood and by relationship), my heart is full by your continued support. I've come to the conclusion that people don't have to support you- but when they do, it hits different. It reminds me that love is a consistent action, compounded by sacrifice, kindness and the ability to simply show up. Thank you for showing up for me and the entire cast of @truecolorstheatre 's production of Cinderella. It never goes unnoticed and it is never forgotten. I LOVE YOU. 😘 by @avislashawn

There’s something holy about this moment—God was there. He's been there every night since we opened.

Stepped into this role thinking I was just telling a story…
but somewhere between the lights, the music, and the magic—I remembered myself.

The Fairy Godmother didn’t just transform Cinderella…
she resurrected something in me I didn’t even realize needed breath again.

Tomorrow is my final show, and whew… it’s that tender kind of goodbye—
the kind that lets you know something real happened here.

Grateful. Full. A little undone in the best way. ✨

The duality of the FairyGodmother.

She is both the creator and teller of the story.

She is both grounded and magical.

She is both home and wonderland.

She doesn't grant wishes of her own accord- she is fueled by YOUR belief that "IT" can happen.

She's that Grama that gives you the history of your ancestors.

She's that auntie that bridges the gap between your dreams and manifestation.

She's the quintessential hype man that sees what's only visible to third eye.

She is MUVA.

Grateful to bring this being to life in @truecolorstheatre production of Cinderella running at Southwest Arts Center June 9- July 5.
