Juuse Couture craft night 💖🏒 5k team costume I will actually wear again. easy peasy project with Michael’s hoodies/tshirts, sharpies and fabric paint pens, ancient projector we found and a paper stencil I made in canva. run (walk) was great now this damn team just needs to win by @avp.stitches

BLYTHE MINI ME!! @madeleinegbradford came over and we followed the @sixneptunes tutorial for customizing Blythe dolls. we skipped all the face carving and makeup bits but it still took five hours. we listened to Perfume Genius the whole time and she gave me my favorite compliment I’ve ever received: “You have the magic touch for ripping out the eyeballs.” I made mine a shirt to match my favorite shirt (pattern from Creative404) and a little denim skirt (pattern from Miseducated) to compete the fit. shoes next. the bag is from a big thrifted set of Barbie clothes and might be Monster High? idk. eyes are brown/Van Gogh sunflowers/moons/violet and via ResinRapture and MyMisfitToyBox templates. I’m obsessed with her

DUNE ZEN GARDEN! made this for Levi’s birthday. I might make another slightly smaller sandworm so you can close the book on it and play in the sand a little more — but that might also further throw off the size ratio with Paul?? tbd. for the worm I made a support structure with wire, cardboard and papier-mache and sculpted air dry clay on top of it. box and sand from the craft store. shoutout Kyle for 3D printing me a little Lisan al Gaib and Brandon for the idea 🪐 by @avp.stitches

usually finding old photographs at thrift stores makes me really sad but I just loved the way this lady was dancing. I thought she and her piano pal would have fun at this show I found in an old issue of Razorcake. threw in a moon and some stained glass bc why not, and grabbed another pic that I found of her in @turnipgreencreativereuse in case she turns out to be someone’s mom or something. maybe these two will be swingin to the stars next 🌙🖤

BUFFY WILL PATROL TONIGHT! I’ve been challenging myself with embroidery lately but man sometimes you have to do a silly one. Trying out this hilarious Giles drawing from Hush has been on my mind after seeing a few people stitch it on Reddit (I love Delouest’s mini hoop take on the Buffy drawing in particular) and it paired so perfectly with my little Ouija needleminder from @caffeinatedcatcrafts! I thrifted this white fabric from Turnip Green and it was a bit weird to work with, kinda puckery and translucent, so I finished it off with a bit more of a decorative style than usual using some lavender Kona fabric and floss that reminds me of the movie Blood Tea and Red String. Lots of line work for me lately — next project will definitely have more satin & long and short stitch so I can practice 🪡🥀

Heated Rivalry embroideryy ❤️‍🔥🏒 I’ve been unable to stop talking about this show + series so I decided to try bringing this sweet stairwell kiss scene to life! Reddit user accidental_stories also had some really sweet linework on the HR subreddit recently that I’ve been loving and you guys should definitely check out their stuff. This was my first time tracing a pattern from a photo reference *and* my first time trying for a more realistic style and I’m pretty excited about the results. Might experiment with thread weight and color combos a little more — I think the hoodie blue and the outline gray are a little too close, and my partner pointed out that Ilya is in the Raiders colors and Shane is *almost* in the Metros’ so maybe I’ll try to work in a little red somewhere?? Shoutout to my Bruins jersey for providing the perfect backdrop though 🖤💛
