OMG HI 🤍 Some of you are new here (very cool!) so I thought I’d share a bit about me and this page of mine 🥰

🏡 I’m a Toronto native who briefly lived in Switzerland and the US before calling London home in 2015. I absolutely LOVE this city & believe it’s where I’m destined to be. I live with my boyfriend in East London - an area you’ll hear me rave about because it has the best restaurants and vibes (objectively speaking, of course 😉).

🧳 I create for those who love to travel when they can, and who want to make the most of their time when they’re away. It’s why my goal here is to inspire those people to do this (hopefully that’s you!) so I share tips and recommendations, trip planning motivation, and travel stories with lessons learned from London, Europe & beyond.

📖 When I’m not travelling, chances are I’m in my kitchen cooking up a storm (or rather, trying to 😂), curled up on my couch watching Netflix, reading a book, with my friends, out on a walk, or at a wine bar.

🙋🏻‍♀️ Other things about me: I am obsessed with Friends, never have chill when I see an adorable dog, can usually be found in an oversized sweater, love an underbaked cookie, have a passion for making Excel tables, still have my teddy bears from my OG days who I love dearly, am quite introverted (but some friends will say otherwise), speak a bit of French, make a mean pisco sour, can be moderately sarcastic, live for Christmas, thoroughly enjoy snowboarding, and take great pleasure in checking items off my (overly elaborate and colour-coded) to do list.

This is the first look-back that I’ve felt comfortable doing for a long time - and these are just a few of the moments in 2024 (big and small) that I’m grateful for 🤍👉🏼

🏂 JANUARY: spending 10 days with a beautiful group of people in Vancouver and Whistler

☕ FEBRUARY: morning neighbourhood walks, visiting friends in the Midlands, first al fresco meal of the season, wholesome days out in London

🌸 MARCH: snowboarding in the French Alps, launching my @thatch.travel shop, a brilliant 24 hours in Kent, a long weekend in York for a lovely wedding

🌳 APRIL: walks around some of my favourite neighbourhoods in the city, having chilled but productive weekend days at home

🧳 MAY: a birthday weekend in Barcelona with boyfriend immediately followed by a few days in Amsterdam third-wheeling my best friend and her man 😆

☀️JUNE: a few fantastic sunny days in Seville with boyfriend and his family, 36 hours in Basel, weekends at home

🕯️JULY: getting to work for the day in an adorable countryside pub, a beautiful weekend with my book club ladies, date nights with boyfriend, shooting my first client project

🍷AUGUST: overdue hangs and catch ups with one of my favourite people, a stunning week in Italy, tagging along with boyfriend on a work trip

🦘SEPTEMBER: an incredible two weeks in Australia, surprising my best friend’s amazing daughter for her 2nd birthday party

🥂OCTOBER: wholesome home-cooked dinners and neighbourhood walks with beautiful friends

🍁NOVEMBER: watching my cousin get married and seeing my family, enjoying the beautiful autumn colours and weather in Toronto, layering up and loving in

🎄DECEMBER: pet-sitting the cutest little guy around, being in London over the holidays and having my mom here

And the most surreal thing of all?👇🏼

When I think of how long travelling has been such a passion of mine and part of my identity. And now I have a business built around it. I’m a small business owner. I never thought I’d say that. And it feels pretty cool 😊

So Black Friday hits differently for me this year.

Experiences are my favourite kind of gifts. A dinner out, theatre tickets, a visit to a museum exhibition, an excursion, a weekend getaway. They just always feel so meaningful.
