We were dreaming of summer while it was still winter.
The light outside was flat, almost clinical. Cold air, bare branches, no excess. And yet I kept thinking of that one day last year — the hottest day of the summer — when I photographed @carolin__hoppe in what we jokingly called the Garden of Eden.
It was simply a garden. Overgrown. Bright. Too much sun. The heat was direct, almost physical. You could see it in the air, feel it on the skin, in the slow movements, in the pauses between words.
The image wasn’t about drama. It was about presence. About being there on the warmest day of the year, when everything felt reduced to essentials — body, light, breath.
Now it’s winter again. But that temperature remains. Not romantic. Not nostalgic. Just stored somewhere inside, like a fact.
Already exhibited at @saasfeepavillon @BFF and parts published in @profifoto
Thanks you all for the flashback taken in Eden by @axl_jansen

A monochrome interlude
