VORN at BAUTOPIA 2026 in Athens

@marte.hentschel was in Athens to present key results from our Circular Microfactory Berlin project at the BAUTOPIA exhibition, organised by @creativehubsnet.

Funded by @deutsche.bundesstiftung.umwelt, this R&D initiative explores how circular microfactories can transform fashion through scalable, local, and sustainable production models.

The event celebrated the launch of the CREATIVE HUBS ATLAS, a 600+ page photobook featuring VORN – The Berlin Fashion Hub alongside other global creative ecosystems, and the promotion of our Design Guide for Fashion Designers.

Developed across five core work packages, the guide provides a practical framework for creating garments built for disassembly and end-of-life circularity.

𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛 𝗜𝗡 𝗙𝗔𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗢𝗡 returns for its third edition at Diane Pernet’s 𝗔 𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗗 𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 𝗢𝗡 𝗙𝗔𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗠 𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟 (𝗔𝗦𝗩𝗢𝗙𝗙)! We’re proud to continue the 𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛 𝗜𝗡 𝗙𝗔𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗢𝗡 category at 𝗔𝗦𝗩𝗢𝗙𝗙 𝟭𝟴, hosted at 𝗗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀 from 12–15 November 2026. 
We invite filmmakers to submit fashion films or documentaries that explore & challenge the visibility & stigma of mental health issues within & beyond the fashion industry. We’re looking for works that: 
* Address the lived experiences of individuals with mental health conditions in the fashion world, from designers & workers to consumers.
* Examine how industry practices & societal pressures impact mental well-being throughout the entire fashion supply chain.
* Explore how fashion can either perpetuate or combat mental health stigma & present narratives that promote understanding & support.
* Showcase creative approaches to increasing awareness & sparking meaningful conversations about mental health across all levels of the fashion industry.
