POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
There’s a story in Islamic history about a random woman who was assaulted and cried out, “Wa Mu’tasimah!” calling for the leader Al-Mu’tasim to help her. Not a political figure, not the daughter of someone in politics, just a resident of the land. The story goes that he answered her cry with an entire army. One woman. One cry for help. And today we have women reporting sexual abuse in Israeli prisons, and the world barely gives a damn. What happened to us? Where did our dignity go? These women are somebody’s daughters, mothers, wives and sisters. Imagine hearing your own mother crying for help and nobody coming. Imagine your daughter begging for someone to protect her and the world just watching. I’m not asking for armies or wars. I’m asking where the hell our humanity went. How did we become so comfortable watching people suffer? How many women have to scream before somebody actually listens?

With prayers to end the occupation on this blessed Friday,

Wildfires are devastating communities across Indonesia, with reports of over 200,000 respiratory illness cases linked to the smoke.

Our prayers are with every child, every parent, and every family affected. May Allah protect them, heal those suffering, and bring relief to the people of Indonesia.
🤲🇮🇩

Sometimes, the simplest things carry the deepest memories.

The smell of fresh bread. A mother calling everyone to eat. A table where nobody was missing.

What we once thought were ordinary moments become the memories we would give anything to relive.

May every home know the warmth of bread, the comfort of family, and the peace of never having to wonder who will be missing tomorrow. ❤️🤲❤️

🌧️ Rain or shine, you showed up for Palestine refugees.

Despite the cold and pouring rain, nearly 5,000 people came together in Brooklyn for the 2026 NYC Gaza 5K, raising more than $1.1 MILLION to support mental health and psychosocial services for children in Gaza. 🩵

For Rollo, who has volunteered with UNRWA USA for the past two years, the NYC Gaza 5K is about so much more than crossing a finish line.
“Connecting with so many other people who are here for Gaza is a moment of hope.”

From packet pick-up to the finish line, our volunteers showed up with dedication, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to supporting Palestine refugees.
To every volunteer who braved the rain, gave their time, and helped make this year’s NYC Gaza 5K possible: THANK YOU! 🩵 And to our sponsors, performers, participants, and everyone who helped bring this day to life, thank you for showing up and making it unforgettable.

Now, JOIN US for the What We Carry tour!

📍 Four cities. Four nights.
🎶 November 5 – Los Angeles, CA
🎶 November 8 – Houston, TX
🎶 November 12 – New York City, NY
🎶 November 13 – Washington, DC

This Halloween, I wanted to create something that goes beyond makeup. 🇵🇸🍉

The Palestinian keffiyeh is more than just a pattern. It’s a symbol of identity, resilience, resistance, and a people who refuse to be forgotten.

While we have the privilege of dressing up and celebrating, there are families in Palestine who continue to endure unimaginable loss and suffering.

This look is dedicated to the innocent lives lost, the families displaced, and the Palestinian people who continue to fight for their right to exist in peace.

Art is a form of expression, and today I choose to use mine to remember, honor, and raise awareness.

Palestine will never be forgotten. 🇵🇸❤️‍🩹 by @ayat.nyc

A Palestinian flag. The name Hind. A paramedic’s uniform.

Three things that should never have to represent resistance.

Hind Rajab was only 5 years old. She should be remembered for the life she lived, the dreams she had, and the childhood she deserved. Not for the way her life ended.

And yet, here we are, walking through the streets of New York, carrying her name because the world must never forget hers.

Some people wear their hearts on their sleeves. Others carry the names of children the world failed to protect.

To everyone that walked/ran @unrwausa Gaza 5k

Thank you ❤️‍🩹🙏❤️

We will never forget you, Hind and every child you represent worldwide. 🇵🇸❤️

Philly, we’re almost there! ❤️

Every time we open an Ayat in a new city, the best part isn’t the restaurant itself. It’s the people we haven’t met yet. The families who will become regulars, the neighbors who will stop in just to say hello, and the friendships we don’t even know are coming.

We’ve been working hard behind these doors, and we’re getting closer every day.

We’re excited to get to know you, feed you, and hopefully become a little part of your everyday life.

See you soon, Philly. Come hungry, leave as family. 🇵🇸❤️

📍 2021–23 Sansom Street, Philadelphia

Love you all from the bottom of my heart ❤️
