Sneak peek of my score for Rough Ways - nominated for the Peer Raben Music Award at @soundtrackcologne this year! 🤍🎶🌲💫

Thank you to @cathjoymusic for letting me borrow your violin, mandolin and ukulele — only one of which I can (barely) play. It was the perfect palette for this world.

And thank you to this incredible team, so proud of the way this score has become part of the DNA of the film.

So excited to be sharing a sneak preview of my score for @catalina_thefilm 👀🎶🖤💥

Thank you @martinrusselljohnson for having me on board, what an absolute honour — I’m so proud of what we’ve made! This was the first film I was on after moving to LA, would not have been possible without an introduction from @pauljames.mcdonnell from back home 🥹 What a dream project, with so much heart.

Thank you to @qblache for being my star cellist on this, you are incredible. And @briantaylormix for a golden 5.1 mix, can’t wait for you all to hear it!

More about the soundtrack, and some behind the scenes, soon 🫶🏻

My week in Cologne earlier this year @soundtrackcologne 💜🍻

Had an absolutely incredible week, honoured to have been the runner up for the Peer Raben Music Award this year with @roughwaysfilm - I was SO inspired by all the nominees. Thank you to the jury for your support & feedback @nato911 @totodluca @clementinecharuel @koxette 🙏🏼💫

Also amazing to see the @wdr big band rehearse and perform @anningsam and @vanessa_perica tunes 🇦🇺 What a trippy but wonderful experience on the other side of the world.

And an endless thank you to @anningsam @natashafearnside_clarinetist for letting me stay and hang with @queencharliebe 🥹🐶

Enjoy some pics of my time there, and the incredible textures and light in the Cathedral.

I can’t wait to be back next year! 🤞🏼

KUDUZ Soundtrack is out today, wherever you get your music 🩶🐺

I am so proud of this film and this team. I used my Cura (little Oud) from İzmit, ‘Joni’ the Appalachian Dulcimer and my Cello - all bowed and plucked. This immense, gritty score was the first project I finished after moving to LA, and to be working on a film that was made by both my homes - Australia & Türkiye - was so incredibly special.

You can watch KUDUZ on @mubiturkiye

Thank you @mertber for trusting in me, your storytelling continues to inspire me - I still come back to that Horse Prancing picture most days (slide 3).

A thrill to score your cinematography @alper_kasap_cinematographer - can’t wait to do more!

This was the first film I worked on when I moved to LA, with @martinrusselljohnson being the first director I met out here! Him and the team have created a whole world within this film, and I’m so unbelievably happy that I got to create the music for it. 🤍

Full circle moment having the incredible @qblache on cello. And thank you @briantaylormix for the 5.1 mix.

Come watch it in cinemas 🤍🎞️🎬
