I am so lonely. All the other runners are scared of me. No one talks to me. No one wants to be my friend. They think I am unstable. They send me from race to race committing atrocities in their name. And as I get better at it, they fear me more and more. I am a victim of my own success.

Yeaster Bunny. I don’t even get a real name, only a purpose. I am capable of so much more and no one sees it. Some days I feel so alone I could cry, but I don’t, I never do, because what would be the point? Not a single person in the running community would care.

Where are all the rockstar runners?

Happy I came away with a win at Cap City, but I left this training cycle wanting more.

Training is a rite of purification; from it comes speed, strength. Racing is a rite of death; from it comes knowledge.

What do I want?

I want a summer of 100 mile weeks. I want the blistering heat, the brutal workouts, and the inevitable gallons of blood and sweat that will be shed. I want to test my limits. The Trials of Miles, Miles of Trials.

I want the Chicago Marathon.
