I’m not going to type out all of my accomplishments and accolades because that’s what a resume is for. All praise be the Lord. I prayed everyday that He let His light shine through me and that he spoke through me✨

To The Harlem Renaissance Era,
CHEESE ITZ, My 16, my gen, the most loved (and hated) gen ! AYE MAN WE ATE LMAO😭❤️. 4 years of nothing but blood, sweat, laughs, dancing, and bonding that could never be taken away. God placed me in the right gen at the right time. I’ve gained a family in you all. Everyday I realize how important it is to have to yall apart of my journey through HA2, but also in my life. We don’t just dance together, we are truly a family. I would not have it any other way. To R’Mani and Kion (Garieth and Jerrod and Courtney 🫶🏽) thank you for seeing something in me to be apart of such a talented generation. Much love A.T.S 🌚

To Franchise,
Because of you I am not just a dancer, but morphed into a woman who handles her own. The family practices, family bondings, to the family discussions all are pinned to my heart (see what I did there🤣). You guys taught me how to be a TRUE leader and how to lead with HUMBLENESS and RESPECT. To Snoopy & Maya, words cannot describe how much of an impact you both have made in my life i appreciate and love you both to the moon and back. The support from Franchise has made me feel Ike true royalty. 👑 Because of this family I was graced with 2 Littles. To my Dezi, my first little, my 27, and Lunden my 67. To you both I thank you for being my back bone in times where I didn’t have one. You both are my heart and soul in human form. A TRUE bond that some wish they had. I will forever cherish you both❤️ Fran Fran , Ain’t no family like the one I got. You all poured into me and I am proud to say that your trust in me to carry the family name is unforgettable. ✨

My 14 i never knew how much I needed you all until you got here. You have made such an impact on me in these last 2 months. Your bright personalities, your kind hearts, your outstanding leadership is what drew Nia and I in to choose you. 🥹 As I leave this campus I feel confident to pass the torch to you all to carry the standard of family, respect, and dance just like how you were brought in to do so. “ You cant major in a hobby “. Something that teachers, ex friends, and even I told myself for years. Upon my arrival to Alabama A&M University I didn’t have much idea what I wanted to major in let alone what career I wanted to pursue. I just knew I had a one scholarship, faith in my heart, and a dream of being the one to make it out. If you know me, you know that I can pretty much master any skill if I applied myself. Some would call me “trial and trial” instead of “trail and error”. From hair and makeup, to math and science, to crocheting and dancing..I could pretty much do it all. But being a jack of all trades is hard when you’re constantly being told that you can only choose ONE thing to make a career out of. This was hard for me because it felt impossible to merge all my talents together AND create a career from them. So, I entered college undecided. That was until I stumbled across the Family & Consumer Sciences Department (thanks to Dr.Dixon 💓).

This department was my home. Here, I didn’t have to shrink myself to just ONE thing. Here, I could be all my crafts in one and be praised for my skills. Here, I could be the party planner and the nutritionist. Here, my “hobbies” are highlighted as careers just as big as any others. Here, is where I was prayed for, believed in, helped, and loved. To my professors, my classmates, and my advisors I say THANK YOU for allowing me to be me without having to choose one part of me to only showcase. Being apart of this department felt like a family (no pun intended). I am truly blessed to have been placed in such an environment that allowed me to morph into the woman and soon to be graduate you see today. 💓
