This has been the most joyous season of pure shenanigans and tomfoolery! Memories have been made and new friendships sparked. I’m beside myself, with tears in my eyes, to be found surrounded by such love and light. You all have made this season one for the books and I’m so grateful for your existence. While I’m sad the ren faire season has come to an end, I’m happy in knowing my life has certainly changed for the better since it began just two months ago. I love you all. 🥹💖🧡💕

Tis the end of the season and while I’m sad it’s over, I’m also overwhelmingly glad for all the lovely people I’ve met, for the good friends I’ve made, and for all the memories we’ve shared! 🍻 #huzzah #michiganrenaissancefestival #renaissancefestival #renfaire #renfest taken in Michigan Renaissance Festival by @ayobennyboy

Remember kids, tip your bartenders, tip your performers, and save your little ducks for your fellow patrons. #trinkettrade #renfaire #renfest #renaissancefestival #renaissancefaire by @ayobennyboy

“Patchwork Performer” by Benjamin Bertrand

In “Patchwork Performer”, artist Benjamin Bertrand presents the viewer with a masked performer emerging from a dense patchwork of vivid colors, patterns, shapes, and textures. The abundance of competing visual elements reflects the feeling of being surrounded by too much. Yet within that chaos is a sense of humor, imagination, and freedom, and rather than trying to organize or quiet the noise, the performer seems to embrace it. Fragments come together to create a complete identity. Each individual square, pattern, and color represents a separate piece, but together they form the performer and the larger world around them.

The piece suggests that life is not a straight line but a FULL CIRCLE continual process of collecting, transforming, and revisiting our experiences.

FULL CIRCLE - On view now at @parcartgallery
