⚖️ Legal Care as Community Support: Addressing Determinants of Health Through the Arizona CCLA Program

Discover how Community Health Workers (CHWs) can join a statewide network of legal care providers through the Certified Community Legal Advocate (CCLA) Program to bring justice home.

During this session, participants will:
• Understand the CCLA Program and the value of trauma-informed, community-embedded legal care.
• Identify Partnerships and collaboration opportunities for CHWs, referral partners, and community leaders.
• Build Referral Pathways by learning about CCLA organizations providing trusted community legal advocacy.

During a visit from Corporación SAMU's Vice President to Tucson, we met with AzCHOW @azchow_ (Arizona Community Health Outreach Workers). Their team came to learn more about our Sober Living Homes project, and we discussed the certification process for SAMU International to become an approved trainer for Community Health Workers.

This certification would be a key piece of the services we provide to our future residents — connecting them not just to housing, but to a real path toward stability and opportunity.
