During a visit from Corporación SAMU's Vice President to Tucson, we met with AzCHOW @azchow_ (Arizona Community Health Outreach Workers). Their team came to learn more about our Sober Living Homes project, and we discussed the certification process for SAMU International to become an approved trainer for Community Health Workers.

This certification would be a key piece of the services we provide to our future residents — connecting them not just to housing, but to a real path toward stability and opportunity.

Food is medicine! Fresh, local, and packed with purpose.

We are thrilled to fill this week’s Produce Rx bags with familiar, culturally appropriate, and nutrient-dense foods. Everything is grown right here by local farmers, making it the perfect way to step back into a healthy lifestyle.

A massive thank you to @azchow_ for supporting local farms and making this program possible! 🚜🌾
Wondering how you can support our local food system? Send us a message or comment below to ask how you can get involved with Food is Medicine!

It was great to be with my fellow colleagues to present at the Arizona CHW Conference @azchow_ to celebrate their 25th year! CHWs were in the house and their energy was 🔥.

Our team presented during the Plenary session and also had a full breakout session with engagement, sharing of stories, attendees left with a resource and also learned skills to calm their bervous system.

Thanks to @utaustincrc team Dr. Hunter for being a great partner on teaching the Community Resiliency Model ( CRM) and Reena with @risingembers_community

Kudos Arizona CHWs this was a great Conference wishing you many more years!

Join us July 14 for the last of this series of CRM courses. Link in bio.

Today was filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, and inspiring reminders of the impact Community Health Workers have on improving health outcomes and advancing health equity. ROOTS brings together leaders, researchers, advocates, and frontline professionals to explore innovative solutions, policy, and community-driven care.

I’m honored to be here presenting my abstract poster and learning alongside so many passionate individuals dedicated to strengthening our communities.

The future of healthcare starts in our communities. 💜
