We are proud to recognize InfantSEE Week, September 21–28, in Arizona, and raise awareness about the importance of early eye and vision care for infants! We would also like to recognize Dr. Esposito for working with Governor Katie Hobbs’ office to have InfantSEE Week officially recognized in Arizona. This recognition provides an opportunity to bring greater awareness to the importance of early vision care and healthy visual development. InfantSEE provides infants aged 6-12 months with a one-time eye and vision assessment at no cost regardless of income or insurance status. A baby’s first year is an important time for visual development. An early eye and vision assessment can help identify potential concerns and support healthy visual development during this critical period. The Optometry-Ophthalmology Interface: Modern Practice Patterns in Collaborative Eye Care Two Hours COPE-Accredited CE 📅 Wednesday, August 12 🍽️ Dinner & Check-in: 5:30 PM 🎓 CE Program: 6:00-7:40 PM 📍 Midwestern University Eye Institute 5865 W. Utopia Rd., Glendale, AZ Join Arizona College of Optometry and ophthalmology faculty for an interactive, case-based program focused on collaborative anterior segment care. Through small-group rotations, participants will explore practical approaches to dry eye management, refractive surgery, keratoconus detection and corneal cross-linking, specialty diagnostics, and postoperative care. You will get hand on experience on some of our diagnostic equipment and get to know our new clinic. Complimentary dinner provided. Seating is limited. We are proud to say that our Financial Assistance Plan (Eyeglass Program) provided free eye care for 500 patients this past year! This is a program that we’ve had for the past 10+ years, in which we receive referrals from a number of organizations that provide services for those in need. Patients receive a free comprehensive exam, plus a pair of eyeglasses. Additional diagnostics and treatment are provided at no charge should further care be needed. We are honored to be able to offer these services for our patients. 👓 by @azcopt_optometry

We had a wonderful time attending Optometry’s Meeting here in Phoenix last week! We are especially proud of our 4th-year student, Avery Moen, for representing us well at the EyeQ Championship. This May, AZCOPT proudly participated in the Arizona Special Olympics through the Opening Eyes Program. This program provides athletes with intellectual disabilities access to free vision screenings, prescription glasses, and protective eyewear. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community and help support athletes both on and off the field! by @azcopt_optometry
