Proper seeding is about more than just throwing down ryegrass.

✅ 13–15 lbs per 1,000 sq. ft. for golf course-inspired results
✅ Multiple passes for even seed distribution
✅ Precision along edges to keep seed where it belongs
✅ Proper fertilization to support healthy establishment
The goal isn’t just a thick green lawn this winter. It’s also protecting your Bermuda for a strong spring transition.

Overseed prep starts before the seed ever goes down.

Here’s how I prep Bermuda for winter overseed — from shutting the water off and scalping it down to verticutting, cleaning up the canopy, and getting the seedbed ready.

The better the prep, the better the start for your ryegrass.

Spreading topper doesn’t have to suck. 😂🌱

The Landzie Compost Spreader makes it way easier to get a consistent, even layer of topper across the lawn without doing everything by hand.

During overseed, that topper helps:
🌱 Hold moisture around the seed
☀️ Protect seed from drying out as quickly
💧 Create a better environment for germination

A great winter lawn starts before the seed ever goes down. 🌱

Proper prep is one of the biggest pieces of a successful Arizona overseed.

💧 Reduce irrigation ahead of time
✂️ Scalp the Bermuda down
🗑️ Remove clippings and excess material
↕️ Open up the canopy when needed
🌱 Create better seed-to-soil contact

The goal isn’t to destroy your Bermuda — it’s to reduce competition and create the best possible surface for ryegrass to establish.
