Once upon a time, I went to the renaissance faire with my friends and my life was changed! My lovely friend hooted and hollered with me at Bob the Incredible Juggler's show, and he picked me to go on stage with him. I was very brave and trusting, and held the target steady, and then when his back was turn I made like I was going to get on the ball 😂
Thank you my friend for your encouragement, and thank you Bob for your silliness.
If you've ever seen a @thekumpania show, my expression on photo 3 will look a little familiar ✨

Influenced by @katara13fox I bought a damascus sword from @kult_of_athena and I'm IN LOVE. Threw on some lipstick after work and danced for a while in the sun since it wasn't 1 billion degrees out. Happy Halloween 1st!

I felt amazing and powerful jn this #YashaNydoorin cosplay and @haylthewidow helped me capture that feeling in these photos. Far and away the most comfortable ensemble I've worn to a con.

I am on my way to my final renaissance faire for the season. The 2026 season at AZRF was challenging and fruitful all the way through, and I'm endlessly grateful for @ghazaal_beledi and the beautifully silly show we put on. All season @haylthewidow said I looked like an adventurer with my mushrooming basket and sword at my side, so I asked her to snap some photos as we were packing up alone at the end of the day. Onward to the next adventure!

This is a photo of me as a teenager at the @kcrenfest dancing with St. Vitus’ dancers. I’ve spent a lot of time this week thinking about her, and how this day was the day I decided I would one day work at a Renaissance festival.
There was never a moment when I thought “I will apply to work at Faire,” but I remember walking around gradually feeling like it was possible, and that there would be a time in my future where performing would be part of my life.
I always feel most like my true self when wandering at Faire, and I am so so lucky that this is my life. Even when it’s hard, even when the heat is unbearable, or my legs hurt, or the drive is long, there’s no place I would rather be.
I cannot imagine my life without Renfaire in it somehow, and I hope that trend continues on. The young woman in the picture above had many many dreams, but even she didn’t think it was possible to make it this far.
I hope I make her proud.
