day 1/14

decided the best way to remember this trip was to keep a little video journal <3

we had a LONG travel day and like I said the goal was to sleep but I think @maddie.spero and I maybe underestimated just how difficult it was to sleep on the plane LOL. However, we made it to ROME!!!

day two is insane, I still am not sure how we fit so much in less than 24 hrs 🫣

my thoughts after my show✨

I wanted to take the time and really reflect on what I wanted next. The truth is, what’s next is just existing. Existing as me, not as the titles I was hiding behind—“Brittany the trainer” “the bodybuilder” “the *fill in the blank*”

I LOVE that I was able to let myself truly enjoy my European vacation. I’m telling you I truly felt lighter: no guilt tripping for not being in the gym, no stress or food shame. However, I did crave my routine and it did reignite my love for taking care of myself at a higher level. Which lead me into honoring the promise to myself: getting back on stage.

this year I have learned to let go of the expectations behind a title or accomplishment. The idea of balance is VERY intimidating to me because I have never trusted myself to have it. However, with everything that I learned about myself this year—I feel more confident than ever that this will be my best season yet.

the secret to my success: my support system 🥹

this prep was a lot more than just getting back on stage, it was proving to myself that I could do everything that I said I could do. Without these people, my family, my clients, and anyone who supports me: I would not be able to keep going.

after not getting the placing I wanted at the show, I was a little sad of course. That didn’t last long because as soon I came off stage to my friends and family CELEBRATING me. I couldn’t help but be overwhelmed with gratitude, and I realized then it’s SO not about a stupid metal.

the amount of love and support I felt not only on show day but throughout the past few years of losing mom, working three jobs, building my business. I have felt lost and broken so many times, but my people would help put me back together and remind me of who I am and what I am capable of.

I am so thankful to you all, I love you guys DOWN!
