POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’ve realized it usually doesn’t take much for me to decide I like someone. And almost none of it has anything to do with how impressive they are.

• Be nice to the person waiting on your table.

• Remember somebody’s name.

• Be able to laugh at yourself.

• If you say you’re going to be somewhere at 10:00, make a reasonable attempt to arrive sometime near 10:00. 😁

• Ask somebody a question because you actually want to hear the answer...not because you’re waiting for your turn to talk.

• Put the shopping cart back.

• Let somebody merge without acting like they’re attempting to steal your identity.

• Say thank you.

• Be excited when something good happens to somebody else.

• If somebody tells you something important is happening in their life, remember it and ask them about it later.

And one of my favorites...

• Be the kind of person who can spend an hour with someone without needing to make the entire hour about yourself.

None of these things are particularly impressive. Nobody is putting “returns shopping carts” in their Instagram bio. But after 54 years of meeting people, working with people and spending a lot of time observing people, I think the little things tell you quite a bit.

Talent is great.

Success is impressive.

Confidence is attractive.

But give me someone who's kind, curious, dependable, can take a joke, and treats people well when there’s absolutely nothing to gain from it. I’ll probably like them pretty quickly.

And if they put their damn shopping cart back? We might be friends. 😂

What’s one ridiculously small thing that immediately makes you like somebody?

Lighting diagram included! Very simple one flash setup using a 25” Beauty Dish with the @godox_global AD300 Pro🔥🔥

To achieve this look, we have to create even balance between ambient natural light and flash. We want to avoid overcompensation with the flash 📷📷 from there, if you have a beautiful background, consider stopping down your aperture. 🔥
