Hey! My name is Brayden Stone, I’m from Clifton, Tx. I’ll be majoring in Petroleum Engineering and am 100% committed to Texas Tech! I plan to stay in Murdough and will definitely be looking for a roommate! I love Jesus, the outdoors, sports, and hanging out with friends.

It’s hard to put into words what being apart of this xc team has meant. Freshman year I had no clue what I was getting into but Clay Kennedy told me that we’d be part of something great for this program and surely enough, over the course of the next 4 years, we did just that. The guys team had never won district, qualified for regionals, or gone to state, but in the course of 4 years, we won district 3 times, qualified for regionals 4 times and finally placed top 10 at the state meet as a team 3 years in a row. Although the end of the season wasn’t ideal individually, it took a team and everyone did just that. Here’s to the best 4 years of Clifton xc history by @b.stone0303

This season was actually insane, we started off in some pretty rough races against some big schools but held our own. Our team won district, got runner ups at regionals and finished 7th in the 3a state race!! I also finally broke 17 running a 16:59 by @b.stone0303

Coming in at the first athlete 🤝coach collaboration post is Brayden Stone who leaves his competition in the dust! He finishes 4th with an 85 second PB at Midway invitational in the big divisions.

Brayden Stone is a dedicated athlete who communicates with me often, is a pleasure to coach, and fun to watch grow as an athlete and person.

A few things from Brayden..

🗣️”The meet was large. The temperature was perfect, the course flat/ perfect conditions. We all knew coming into this race that it would be fast.

I did not know I’d be in this kind of shape early in season, rather I thought this type of fitness would come later. Nonetheless I felt amazing and everything was in correlation with our plan.”

Lotus Running Coaching to Brayden

🗣️ “The Lotus Running Coach is unbelievable to say the least. Last year I ran this race in 17:40 so to come out today and run a 16:25 is 110% because of the training I have been provided. It’s also showed me that so long as I trust my training, the results will come in way better than I could ever think!” taken in Midway Panther Stadium by @b.stone0303
