Soundscapes spanning breath to bass, echoes of ecstasy, the pulse of the primal merged with electronic mastery - Temple Step is a sensory experience at the intersection of unified culture, ancient soul and electronic mastery, resides the multi-genre fusions of Temple Step - a style and statement of music revered for igniting dance floors, hearts and transcendental shifts.
Defined by the pursuit of creating extraordinary music that stands for oneness, passion and transformation. For over 30 years, Temple Step has literally brought global culture to the people, bringing sets, ceremony and with them, awakening to Live Performances, Ecstatic Dance and Sound Healings.
His prolific career in studio production and stage performance has forged pioneering explorations into tribal-ethno-electronic flavors. As a Producer, DJ and Sound Healer, he draws from an instrumental spread of beats, percussions, ethnic melodic instruments, synths, vocals and bold use of bass. Seamlessly, worlds are blended and timelines merge, all through the language of his music - Sound as sacred; a vibrational, alchemical tool. With it, he evokes states and feelings that invite audiences to embrace full creative expression.

Back in June, my birthday marked a threshold. I created an evening of ritual for the people who mean most to me, and found my own power by feeling all of it, not by thinking my way there.

Months later, I’m still standing in what that night opened, and I’m offering that same place through INVOKE: vulnerability isn’t a liability, staying connected is part of the practice, and growth is permeated by the courage to see and feel yourself, and others.

Movement and ritual give form to what lives beneath language.

This weekend you dissolve your reservations and your protective mechanisms, and come back into the animal intelligence of being fully here: your breath, your tissue, your rhythm.

I will guide you through the elements, awakening the parts that have been dormant, forgotten, bruised or numb. It is not always clean. It moves through grief, rage, pleasure, and sensation. And it is a beautiful thing, moving a myth through your own body and becoming more of yourself.

Two days of movement, ceremony, and Liquid Leading, and together we carry these forms into a live ritual performance on Sunday: The First Song, an original creation myth by @emilyfields

The stories that used to tell us how to belong to each other, and to something larger than ourselves, haven’t kept pace with the world we live in.

We need a new myth. We need a place to gather, to explore how we got here and who we need to become to create the reality our world is calling for.

The First Song is a myth about the world we understand scientifically cast into the archetypical language of gods and goddesses humans have used since the beginning.

Moving with the elemental forms of Ether, Fire, Earth, Water and Air, the story flows through the bodies of the performers as a unique, singular expression of the story. A moment in time. Blurring the lines between performance and ritual, reminding us that we are made of stardust, forged in the union of opposites. That creation requires both forces—the one that gathers and the one that scatters. That no one can hold the world in balance alone.

Come. Remember what myth is for and witness the birth of a new one.

Our next performance will be in San Francisco on October 18th (link in bio). If you are interested in dancing, @b_moving is hosting a weekend intensive on October 17th & 18th where you will learn the elemental movement forms, principles of her somatic movement modality Liquid Leading, and have space to bring your life force onto the stage (link in bio).

Ean Golden is an internationally respected performer and DJ technology pioneer. After 25 years of touring clubs and festivals worldwide, Ean stepped away from the club circuit to focus exclusively on Ecstatic Dance and conscious events more aligned with his values.
His sets are fully improvised, deeply embodied, and shaped in real time with the room. Drawing from a vast musical range and live performance techniques, Ean expertly weaves rhythmic changes and genre contrasts into a dynamic arc dancers often describe as wild, expressive and completely cathartic.

I performed for years before I learned to speak.

The part I left off the slides: this power isn’t armor, and it isn’t control. It comes from love, not fear.

That is the difference you can feel in your own body.

Embodied power is love for all of you, the part you performed and the part you hid. And everything downstream changes.

Liquid Leading, 1:1 and in groups, for anyone ready to lead their own life from the inside.

They can’t see each other through their eyes. They don’t need to.

The hands and the back become the eyes. They drop in and move in waves, up and down, the same current running through both. Whatever moves in one arrives in the other, and answers. One gives the impulse, begin, reverse, stop. The other doesn’t get moved, they choose to join, moving their own body in sync. And it keeps passing between them, until neither can feel whose it is.

Happy 4.0 to me

What a ride it has been and continues to be. Life’s taught me to burn down a lot of illusions that kept me small for way too long. What a fucking painful process.
Illusions are not just in our minds. They’re a whole systemic structure, spoken and unspoken agreements that shape the way we relate through our bodies in this world. The game where some get to thrive and others to survive. And that’s independent from status and wealth. You can be the wealthiest person and still be caught in the loop, not trusting anyone, not even yourself, playing out power dynamics instead of owning your true embodied power and accessing it from a place of love and sovereignty.

If you see me in my aliveness, my joy, my love for others, that’s where I’ve chosen to reside. My smile connects to my heart. I carry my scars with reverence. They brought me, and keep bringing me, closer to loving myself and being alive.

To get to love you have to earn it by feeling all dimensions of it. Not just the light ones.

Love, for me, is finding love in everything. That’s fucking hard. And it doesn’t give anyone, including me, a free pass on accountability. by @b_moving
