✨ Studio Ghibli Visiting India 🇮🇳 – A Dream Come True ✨
If you know me, you know how much Studio Ghibli means to me. Its worlds have shaped my imagination, its stories have been my comfort, and its characters have felt like old friends. So, I dreamed—what if Ghibli visited India? 🌿🏯
That dream turned into a series of illustrations, reimagining Sophie and Howl in Ladakh, Ponyo in Kerala’s backwaters, Princess Mononoke in Nagaland, and Totoro celebrating Christmas in Pondicherry. And from those paintings, a calendar was born—something I never thought I’d create.
The last slide is extra special. That’s my mom, holding my very first piece of merch, reminding me where this journey started. She’s been my biggest supporter, and seeing her hold something I made… it means everything. ❤️
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Let me know which illustration speaks to you the most. 💛

I am crying😭... Have you ever stared at a plain cardboard box and felt the weight of a hundred sleepless nights suddenly lift off your shoulders? If you are juggling a demanding 9-to-5 job while pouring your soul into a side hustle, you know the exhaustion and the quiet doubt that constantly whispers, "Is this actually working?"

Today, I finally silenced that doubt. I unboxed my very own Canon Pixma G670 printer for Baasi’s Art Shop, entirely funded by the art I’ve created and sold! This isn't just about finally making high-quality art prints in my Bengaluru studio; it is living proof that every weekend popup, every doodle, and every late night packing orders truly matters.

To every small business owner slowly building their dream after hours—please don't quit. The journey is heavy, but those tiny steps are building your reality. Celebrate your small victories today; you have earned every single one.

Hey Bengaluru bookworms! Baasi’s Doodle Booth is officially popping up at the @readakitaab Flea Market this weekend. Catch us this Saturday and Sunday, October 10th and 11th, at @attagalatta in Indiranagar.

We are bringing plenty of fresh prints and, of course, bookmarks—because a book fair definitely needs them! Come grab yours before they are gone. You can also step right up to our interactive setup to get your very own custom doodle portrait drawn on the spot.

Save the date, come say hi, and look for the Doodle Booth! by @baasi.in

Building an art business isn’t easy when balancing a 9-5 job. I am Baasi, a Bengaluru-based self taught artist and small business owner, turning illustrations into prints, stickers, postcards, and bookmarks. Today, I'm packing around 20 orders. A special thanks to Sri RajiniHalli for buying my original fig painting! Running this shop means I do everything myself—creating art, packing orders, replying to customers, managing my website, and figuring out shipping. I love it because every order reminds me that these little things mean something to someone. To anyone told their creative dreams aren't practical, let's show them it works. I am waiting for the day I can do this full-time.
