it’s been one year. one year since I stepped onto the sailboat. one year since I left my old self behind and stepped into the new. one year of learning and healing, understanding and changing. I dare say, one of the best years of my life thus far, but not without its challenges //

// leaving behind what you know, what you thought you loved, where you felt comfortable…. too comfortable. it’s jarring. it’s sad, it’s lonely. when the future you saw for yourself suddenly disappears and you’re left… standing at the edge of that fork in the path… once again. lost. which path do you choose? it’s not an easy decision, that’s the point. but making the choice to step into the unknown, the uncomfortable, the path of most resistance… that’s where you find yourself again. that’s where you change, grow. that’s where you learn how to open your eyes again, open your heart again //
