Beyond honored and grateful to be a part of this amazing community of small businesses around the North Shore of Chicago. Never would’ve imagined this 5 years ago when I started Babs Boards. And so special to have my daughter in this photoshoot. And 2 of my amazing interns Cate and Mia.

Thanks to @bunnyandbabewinnetka for outfitting us in these gorgeous dresses.

🥂 What a Summer of Girls who Grill!! 🥂

Now that my birthday month is over, I’ve been reflecting on what a fantastic Summer I’ve had doing what I love.

I taught hundreds of women (and many men too!) this Summer how to grill! Hopefully, I inspired women (and men) to get outside and grill for their friends and families. Hopefully, I took away the fear of lighting our hair on fire and made grilling more approachable and fun for everyone!!

Hopefully, you all had as much fun as I did!! I love teaching and thank you for always supporting me. Very thankful for this community and the ability to do what I love. I have the biggest smile on my face thanks to you.

What a fantastic Summer!!! 🥂🥂

A special thank you to @webergrills @backyardbbqstore @charcrust @elawafarm and @the_chopping_block for always supporting me!!!

🧀 How do you cut manchego? 🧀

This is the number 1 question I get asked at all of my charcuterie classes. Start with sharp knives (get them professionally sharpened at least once a year).

Once you cut manchego into these cute little triangles, there are so many different arrangements you can do!

Love my cutting board from @aroughcutwoodworks

Fall Charcuterie Boards are the perfect appetizer! So easy to arrange and I love all of the Trader Joe’s finds this time of year.

🥂 Babs Boards 5 year anniversary in October 🥂

Later this month is Babs Boards 5 year anniversary and I was with the visionary, Robin, last weekend. We reminisced about that Fall weekend 5 years ago when Babs Boards was born. I had recently “retired” and was looking for something fun to do. Robin came up with the idea for me to start a charcuterie business. And the rest is history.

Thanks Robin for the wonderful idea. What a ride indeed. by @babsboards

My kind of school - charcuterie class!! After a summer of Girls who Grill, I’m super excited to kick off the charcuterie class season. Perfect for the holidays is learning how to make a salami rose. Oh and it’s a great night with your Mom friends too!! Loved these ladies - they had me laughing and smiling all night long.

I’m booking now for November and December in Charleston and Chicago. DM me for more details.

What a wonderful way to finish up the Girls who Grill season in Chicago with this great group of ladies in such a gorgeous backyard. We made the entire meal on the grill and I had so much fun sharing all of my tips to grilling for your family & friends.

Thank you so much for the St. As group- what a great sign up party idea!

Girls who Grill will continue next spring in Chicago!!!

Presentation matters. We eat with our eyes first. First impressions are important. Oh and you need to know how to grill your own steak. I got ya.
