We are proud to welcome @backfromthewave once again on the label, inaugurating the “OBSCUR” side of our catalogue. For one track, the project teams up with @umatik1979 . Both artists originate from the south-west of France and unveil a dark, immersive EP designed to set your wild electronic nights ablaze.

“Le Bruit des Néons” is a relentless EBM weapon, driven by a deep, powerful bassline and retro-futuristic synthetic leads, all wrapped in haunting, lingering pads. Like a lost call echoing through the night, the voice drags us dangerously deep into a track perfectly tailored for peak-time tension.

Sitting at the crossroads of hypnotic techno and EBM, “Maximal Minimal” is a track that thrives on disorientation, pulling you into the vastness of the dancefloor. Your thoughts dissolve as you drift through the maze of your neural connections, carried by an efficient acid loop worthy of the finest 90s raves. Close your eyes and surrender completely.

I’m very proud today to share this upcoming rmx and to realize that I’m releasing an EP with Yan. I’ve been a fan of his music from the start, and I was able to make my wish come true that one day we’d work on the same project. This happened thanks to the support of Philippe and Mélopée Records. I also thank my Lovely friend Umatik, I’ve worked with for a long time and with we made “Le Bruit des néons.”

@backfromthewave built his electronic culture on acid house, Detroit techno, house music, french touch and new wave, with strong influences from bands such as Depeche Mode and New Order.

In the late 90s, he developed several projects under different aliases, leading to releases on respected labels as Scandium Records, Goodlife or Rotation Records.

Since 2019, he has released numerous EPs and remixes, exploring a wide spectrum ranging from electro to EBM, through New Beat & Indie Dance.

His productions have been released on international labels as Bordello A Parigi, Ombra International, Space Factory or Mélopée Records.

Supported by key figures like DJ Hell, Jennifer Cardini and The Hacker, he stands out as a project that bridges generations while remaining firmly rooted in the present.

@umatik1979 , a French DJ and producer, crafts a sonic universe where the power of Electroclash meets the dark discipline of EBM. Shaped by a distinctly 1980s-inspired aesthetic — from Italo-disco to New Wave and rock — his music unfolds with an energy that is both raw and refined.

Following a notable collaboration with Back From The Wave on the Buone Vacanze compilation released by Bordello A Parigi, he has recently further affirmed his artistic identity with a widely praised release on Space Factory, the label run by David Carretta.

@backfromthewave kicks off the set with balearic-tinged Italo, warm coastal grooves, and breezy downtempo vibes, also contributing two remixes for Bordello A Parigi’s upcoming release “The Emergency” by Endrik Schroeder & @the_hacker_amato.
