To our Twin Cities community,

It's no secret that tens of thousands of our neighbors are losing access to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits this weekend. As a team of working class folks, we know how critical these services are in an economy designed to hoard wealth among the few & prevent many others from gaining access to resources & power. Everyone deserves to eat, and no one should be shamed for not being able to make ends meet. Together, we can fill the gaps where bigger systems fail us.

With this in mind, beginning tomorrow, we're designating a spot inside each of our coffee bars for a community food pantry. The idea: Leave what you can, take what you need! Any time during coffee bar hours, you can drop off donations or take anything from the designated pantry shelves, free of charge.

To kick things off this Saturday & Sunday, 11/1-11/2, we're offering 50% off a beverage when you donate a grocery bag full of goods. Bring two bags & we'll make it a free beverage!

Some recommendations for effective donations:
-Please, only shelf-stable, non-expired and unopened items
-When donating canned goods, please prioritize cans w/pull tabs
-Can openers make a great donation, too!
-Consider donating items that make a complete meal, like rice + beans or pasta + sauce
-Toiletries are also welcome
-Foods from various cultural traditions are encouraged!
-We're also accepting donations of paper & plastic shopping bags

How to donate:
Hand off donations to a barista - We'll stock the pantry shelves!

How to receive food:
Just come on in & take what you need from the designated pantry shelves - No questions asked! And as always, if you need something, please ask us. Everyone is welcome here and everyone gets a hot beverage if they need it, whether you can pay or not.

🏳️‍⚧️ BCR is here for community 🏳️‍🌈

One of BCR’s values is “Care for People.” One way that we exemplify this is by cultivating a space of belonging for all folks, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community, immigrants, disabled folks, unhoused neighbors, and people of any marginalized background. Our community (staff and guests) is vibrant because of the diversity it holds. We celebrate empathy and do not allow harassment of staff or guests. We believe that our lives are interconnected, and we have a responsibility to work for the flourishing and wellbeing of our neighbors.

We aim to live out these values here at BCR, and we’re grateful for our generous Twin Cities community where we see these values being put into action every day! Want to join us? Consider buying a meal for a neighbor in need, invite someone to share your table next time you visit us, or bring us fliers for community resources & events! TODAY!!! It’s PUMPKIN PATCH BASH!!!
With @west_side_farmers_market @backstorycoffee @wabashabrewing

We’ve got @being.bethanymae mobile mending & screen printing, @duckmyluck with plants and a kids costume contest outside on the sidewalk next to @happyphotoboothrentals in front of our shop!

The event goes until 5 PM today, but the shop will be open until 7 PM! The brewery closes at 10, so come out and party with us all day long! 🎃

🎃 ONE DAY TILL THE PUMPKIN PATCH BASH 🎃

& @alighieridesserts has been cooking up something special in time for the festivities! Say hello to the

🎃 PUMPKIN SPICE TIRAMISU 🎃

They've folded BCR's own pumpkin butter sauce into their Italian sweet cream, then layered it with ladyfinger cookies dipped in our velvety Narrator blend cold brew. The cup is then topped with chocolate shavings and a hint of warm spice, for sweet, smooth Fall dessert perfection.

We'll have these + Alighieri's Cold Brew Tiramisu (also made with Narrator) available all day Saturday at the Pumpkin Patch Bash, until sold out!

Plus, add a scoop of Alighieri's signature Italian sweet cream to any beverage to take it to the level of pure bliss! We highly recommend a scoop on a Pumpkin Butter Flat White (pictured).

Tiramisu contains gluten, egg & dairy.
