Something that I was pleasantly surprised about when I came here to Uppsala was that there’s a really tightly knit climbing community. It’s been really fun to climb here and even more fun to finally do some climbing on real rock for a change! This was probably around a V2 or a 5B. taken in Focksta Kvarn by @bad_apps_

Life is pretty fun right now! Last week I spent 6 days in the Swedish Lapland petting dogs and reindeer, hunting for northern lights, and visiting places like the Ice hotel! Tomorrow I leave again for another 6 day trip through Northern Europe as I go from Berlin to Prague to Vienna to Budapest. After that trip I am reunited with my partner in crime @ella199877 as I get to show her Sweden and Norway! Super excited for all this travel! This last week in Sweden has been really cool! I was super happy that I was able to see the World Ski Championships I’m Åre and a World Cup ski race in Stockholm. Both times were so fun because of the people that these events drew. In Åre, people from all over The world were there to cheer their nations Athletes and It was very cool to be one of the few Americans watching @mikaelashiffrin ski! My favorite part between the two races was the group of Japanese fans I sat next to and how all the people around the group helped cheer for the Japanese athletes when they went down. It’s refreshing to see cultures harmoniously cheering for each other without conflict. taken in Åre, Sweden by @bad_apps_

About 4 years ago I bought an awesome pair of skis from local legend @sylvanellefson and when I was cleaning them one day, I noticed this text, “Send to Sweden”. I knew I couldn’t get rid of it. I would have never thought that 4 years later that I would be in Sweden for 6 months with these skis! Today I had my first ever bail while trying to climb dream canyon with @calebmoore515 . It was honestly so fun for all the wrong reasons. 100% sketchy but also pure joy. I also dropped my phone 25 meters and it landed in a rope pile below and didnt even get a scratch on it. #blessed that it didn’t break. I can’t afford that right now.
