Somehow, despite the two tag sales that we have already had, we still have more stuff to sell! It’s our *FINAL SALE*….and it’s online!

Set your alarm now: tomorrow, our website will go live at 12pm (EDT) with a dizzying array of goodies from the restaurant.

Get ready! Our Despedida (Goodbye) Tag Sale, part 2 is this Saturday, 7/23 from 12:00-4:00pm.

We’ll be selling lots and lots and lots of kitchen things - kitchen tools, mandolines, 6-pans galore, cambros, sheet pans in all sizes, a double induction burner, airpots, etc. etc. - our patio furniture, cookbooks, and other miscellany.

And bring CA$H because Jennifer will be selling the most delicious pupusas and agua frescas you will ever put in your mouth!

We’re having A Despedida (Goodbye) Tag Sale, part 1! this Saturday (that’s TOMORROW), July 16 from 12:00-4:00pm.

We’ll have plates, glassware, silverware, decor and other miscellany.

We’ll also have small bites and your favorite @badsaintdc sauces (sate oil, chile vinegar, XO sauce, etc.) for you to take home.

Swing by for a hug and pick up some bibs and bobs.

And stay tuned….our Despedida Tag Sale part 2 will be next Saturday, July 23!

After two and a half arduous, relentless pandemic years, we have decided to close the restaurant. Our last night of dinner service was this past Saturday, July 9.

We opened our doors on September 3, 2015 with our hearts full of pride and passion for Filipino food and our warm, personal approach to hospitality. We had a clear picture in our minds of what we wanted the restaurant to be. It far surpassed all our imaginings.

To be honest, it’s hard to know quite what to say.
We are overwhelmed with big feelings.

We are proud of our work.
We learned a lot (and we have so much more to learn!)
We feel more deeply rooted in our culture and heritage.
We celebrate the abundant flowering of Filipino food in this country. From coast to coast, it represents the complexity, diversity, and creativity of our community.

Though we have heavy hearts, we are buoyed by waves of gratitude for…
- all of our staff - past and present;
- our collaborators, peers, and mentors in the DC food and beverage scene and beyond;
- every guest we have ever had the honor of feeding;
- and our investors, friends, and families.

Every day, it gets a little tougher for small, independent restaurants and food businesses to survive. Cherries from 5 Sisters Fruit Farm (brought to us by @karma.farm) snuggle up to flaky biscuits, vanilla ice cream and candied walnuts. Dine-in only!

Have you heard? It’s grilled-meat-on-a-stick season!

Introducing Inihaw na Liempo - Grilled Pork Belly Skewers. The pork belly is braised overnight, then gets a kiss of smoke and char on the grill before being glazed with soy sauce, kalamansi, ginger ale (!!), and brown sugar. A side of tangy housemade pickles makes it nice.
