Everything we ate in #2016 🦂 Bought this in Cambodia as a dare. Took 1 bite & could not continue 🍳 Khmer Lok Lak - don’t remember where we got this but it tasted gourmet af 🥖 Banh Mi Huynh Hoa. 10 years ago it was smaller & tasted fresher imo 🐔 Com Ga Xoi Mo Su Su. Owner invented a device that rains hot oil on his chicken. His store has now tripled in size a decade later 🍲 Pho Le was known as the best Pho in Saigon at the time; sadly they have been de-throned as of 2026 🦑 On a beach in Vietnam made by some auntie. It was the best seafood we’ve ever had especially w/ the Muối Ớt Xanh sauce 🥩 Lac Canh Beef BBQ in Nha Trang - imagine Charcoal KBBQ, but its Viet w/ beef marinated in Viet sauces.. insane!! 🍢 Tried the famed Nha Trang Nem Nuong. Amazing but we still prefer the ones in Cali.. blasphemy I know 🍜 50 cents for 1 bowl of Tom Yum Noodles in Bangkok. Good luck finding that price in the big 2026 🥭 Again it’s been 10 years & I have no memory of the name but this mango sticky rice w/ ice cream was bussin fr fr 🥟 Fun fact our first time having Din Tai Fung was actually in Thailand. Its inside their largest mall CentralwOrld 🥘 Kare Kare from Bad Saint. We did not meet @tomccunanan during this time but its cool we became friends in the later years - miss ya dude! 🇰🇷 Oegadgib when it was half the price of what it is now. Also @t0mengine & @agnolio in the back hehe they are now engaged!! 🍚 This is the OG spot for chicken rice at Eden Center, Kien Giang Quan, iykyk 🌽 Smorgasburg NYC w/ @deeby & Tayson. This photo was actually the 1st photo we used for Hypefoodies years later! 🦆 These duck buns from Corner 28 were hella viral back then.. not even sure if they are still in operation now ♨️ Dry Hot Pot inside New World Mall. Even back then we knew Flushing Queens was the real Chinatown of NYC 🍗 Still our favorite fast food biscuits & we stand ten toes on that - Church’s honey butter biscuits 🇧🇴 Bolivian Salteñas > Empanadas. We said what we said. This one is from Luzmila’s 🍖 Peking Gourmet used to be the go-to.. now they charge you an arm & a leg & got you contemplating life LOL #hypefoodies #asianfood #dmvfood #food

Lately I’ve been craving art. That’s right: baby’s first collage exhibit “Angsty Misfit Dreams” with @artomatic_dc x @minne_miraaa aka Small Victories Studio opens this Friday, April 19 in Washington DC and will be open to the public through Sunday, April 21! Special events include an April 19 opening celebration and an April 21 Artist Talk, both of which will have plenty of 90s childhood snacks!
