For my first project as a cinematographer in college, I would like to curse Architha Sriram for making me shoot an entire film in one room. I would subsequently like to thank Architha Sriram for making me shoot the entire film in one room because I learnt that it’s actually very challenging.

One of my favourite things about this shoot was getting to work with Architha and Lipi on the construction of the set. It was really fun. I also learnt that perhaps blowing most of the budget on one sofa is not a very good decision. Also, shoutout @srishtishenoy for designing this post!! by @bahriakshit

Back when I would overconfidently think that I’d be pursuing stand up comedy as a career, I overconfidently sent an email to Kenny Sebastian, thinking he would respond to it. And while he never did respond, 5 years later, that same email found its way back into my life once again, thus resulting in my first film, “Funny Business”. It’s about 2 stand up comedians with bits and pieces of me sprinkled in it.

If this post gets 6 million likes then maybe I’ll release it.

Where's Urmila is a film that's a reaction to the cyberbullying done onto the LGBTQIA+ community, and is also only possible because of the support, collaboration and coming together of a little community around this film.

This film was made during our first semester in @whistling_woods As part of our PSA module with @abenustj and @rabiyanazki so this moment means a lot to us students and beginners at Filmmaking. It's been a massive affirmation.

The concept for our film and campaign came from stories like these, and from the cast we planned on working with. Some of whom are budding actors as well as visible icons of the Indian Queer community online. Our very story came through from the research conducted and the responses we received. We have worked the insights from their experiences into our dialogue and story. The film is driven by the actors, their craft and online personalities to drive views and awareness. This was a strategic and creative decision, taken to maximize the reach of the campaign.
