Where's Urmila is a film that's a reaction to the cyberbullying done onto the LGBTQIA+ community, and is also only possible because of the support, collaboration and coming together of a little community around this film. This film was made during our first semester in @whistling_woods As part of our PSA module with @abenustj and @rabiyanazki so this moment means a lot to us students and beginners at Filmmaking. It's been a massive affirmation. The concept for our film and campaign came from stories like these, and from the cast we planned on working with. Some of whom are budding actors as well as visible icons of the Indian Queer community online. Our very story came through from the research conducted and the responses we received. We have worked the insights from their experiences into our dialogue and story. The film is driven by the actors, their craft and online personalities to drive views and awareness. This was a strategic and creative decision, taken to maximize the reach of the campaign.
